Funny thing is, our opponents seem to have no idea what to do without their blobs. Short of an ISU-152 though, I really dunno. I'm not very good, but I've enjoying t2/4 and getting SU76s. They need an accuracy buff imho but 2-3 of them will wreck infantry blobs. I mention t2/t4 because you pretty much need AT guns to supplement your su85/t3485 etch if you're getting su76s In: COH2 Balance

The Kat in early stage of vCOH2, was perfectly fine. Response to me? If so... I never remember the katyusha feeling worth it, though I only played in the stress tests and not general beta. Might be OP now, I cannot day and will defer. I definitely see how getting a ton of them out fast with Industry Tactics could be uber nasty. I've only used it once since the patch (just got a new PC) and for the first time, it felt worthwhile. I think an AoE (splash) and\or damage reduction are probably warranted. I just hope they don't over Nerf it again and send it back to the dustbin of history. In: COH2 Balance

I'd be OK with a slight damage nerf (back to 120 or w/e) or a cool down increase, or a reduction in the barrage area or something, but the thing feels useful for the first time since the launch of the game and it'd be a shame to see the Katy relegated to the unused toys pile again. Whatever change they made to the Walking Stuka, it seems to have worked. It's still scary but no longer and ungodly machine of death. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: CoH2 Westen Fronts runs worse than vCoH2? 26 Jun 2014, 14:40 PM When COH2 launched, my computer was fully capable of handling 3v3 matches on medium/low settings. I didn't care too much - it looked OK from a distance, and it ran just fine. I even got some decent screenshots I was putting in my desktop background rotation. I was able to stream 2v2 and 3v3s as well, using the ingame streaming tool. But now 2v2s are slowing to like 8-9 FPS in the mid-late game (sporadically, not consistently, but even then the framerate isn't great despite being 30-60 in the early game?), and I have to run the UI at like 66% (which makes the game quite muddy) to hit acceptable performance levels. Is this just me, or are other people noting that WFA is harder on their systems too? I'm running Windows 8.1 btw... I've been trying to use Razer's Game Booster app to increase performance but this doesn't seem to be working particularly well, if at all. I'm running Windows 8.1 if that matters. My computer has a dual core i7 that overclocks to 3.3 GHz, 2GB of VRAM, 8GB of RAM (both DDR3) and I have COH2 installed on an SSD... I know my specs aren't super great, but it seems like I should be well able to run COH2 on the same medium-low settings I was before. Perhaps a Relic employee might chime in on WFA having steeper system requirements than the base game? I love this game and have my fingers crossed there's something I can do about this. In: Lobby

Thread: The More I Play Soviets the More I Like It3 Apr 2014, 04:43 AM I'm enjoying the patch a lor more than I thought I would... I was worried that the increased lethality of infantry would just mean that my poor unit control would be more punished. But I'm finding that I'm actually doing OK - I've converted to Penals, primarily, as my main infantry, and 2 Penals (I have been known to make 4 or 5) can take out their weight in... almost any Ostheer infantry, especially with their Flamer upgrade. Adding that Satchels now one-shot bunkers, and they are quite a viable choice, in my eyes. I do wish Scout Cars hadn't been made even harder to use, but I think I'll manage somehow In: COH2 Balance
Thread: April 1st Patch impressions3 Apr 2014, 04:33 AM I just played a match (and granted I'm probably not up to snuff with any of y'all) where I veritably mopped the floor with my Elite Troops, LMG spamming opponent. Doubling up Penals (ended up making 4 or 5 squads?) seems to be quite a handy method for taking out Grens and Engineers. Scout cars are harder to use, which is kind of frustrating, but otherwise I'm a lot happier with more lethal infantry fights and more important cover than I thought I'd be. Of course, I'd love to see Scout Cars become more durable, along with T70s and T34/76s... I'd love to feel more comfortable pulling out a Katyusha or SU76, and I'd simply love to have to make more interesting choices when teching (it's one of the things I liked most about DOW2 - the tough squad upgrade decisions). So, make of all that what you will. I'm tired and coherent arguments are hard for me right now. Pardon. In: Lobby
