Were it gets problematic is when you have Tigers/Panthers running around field using it. Yeah on light vehicles it's perfectly fine. Most of them die in two hits anyway. In: COH2 Gameplay

I don't agree, it takes at most, half a second to do this. Maybe for you. Not at generally intermediate level play I see. Things in this game need to be need to be balanced for not only high level players but lower as well. Most players I see can take a good two seconds just to hit reverse, and that's something they are prepared to do. Smoke comes with no warning and will catch a lot of players off guard as they scramble to hit G and the right spot. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Tank smoke.27 Jun 2015, 18:48 PM The smoke at least needs to have a slight 2 second delay or something. It's the instant nature of the ability that bugs me the most. They can just walk right into situations that will get their tanks killed, cause causalities for enemy players, pop smoke and get away with 0 cost to themselves. And attack ground is not always something players can do in time. Most players simply don't have the micro skill to hit attack ground instantly. It can take even good players around 3 seconds and that's Right now the ability too heavily rewards bad micro and decisions. It's way too good, especially on already hard to kill tanks like panthers and tigers. In: COH2 Gameplay

I'm sure you'd know better than I would I usually just stick to three, the bleed with 3 + Officer becomes pretty bad then too. I'll try this build though and play on cautiously with my RM's. 4 rifles is usually pretty standard. Especially when going for the captain. The biggest difficulty with it is the relatively small range of the pathfinders meaning they would often have to un-camo and get closer to whatever I wanted to hit with arty, which usually meant retreating the squad right after. It could definitely work but relying on pathfinder arty is going to be very munitions intensive, especially since you'll really want to have smoke to allow your rifles to actually be able to be capable. I would think a muni cache would be pretty necessary to make it work well. In: US Forces Strategies

Nades are useful tools but are not mandatory. if you wish to make head on assaults then smoke nades are indeed very mandatory. for all other things flanking , harassing and sticking to green cover/buildings until the m20 arrives are perfectly fine. Which I wish to god actually worked. Unfortuanetly sticking to cover will only get you spotted by pios while the MGs set up out of range and take you out from afar. And with green cover not really working to stop suppresion anymore you'll be suppressed too. And outnumbered considering those MGs are actually cheaper then your rifles. In: COH2 Balance
