It's problem is that it's a unit of only extremes. You could probably reduce those extremes (less health or range), or increase vulnerabilities to counters (more damage from arty, more pen from infantry AT) they could then probably lower the price to make it more attainable. Thread: White Elefant23 Aug 2016, 07:31 AM It's waaay too powerful in teamgames to receive any sort of straight buff. It as, well as well as it's big brother the jagdtiger, can be a near impossible obstacle to overcome. Largely because it lacks any real counter other then dedicating into extremely risky flanks, that can be impossible to pull off in teamgames. I've seen players quit even matched games simply because an elephant arrived on field. Receiving a buff without somehow lowering their effect in teamgames, would break anything over 1v1s. I'm voting it's fine, but honestly I don't think so. I would much rather a balance for these units that's more equal across all gamemodes. In: COH2 Gameplay

Was there a reason given why the 60mm was not implemented to begin with? The reason is purely cosmetic. There is no actual 60mm mortar in the game, it was always just a german mortar with an american crew. The 81mm mortar is unique so there's no reason not to use it, and just put whatever stats they want on it. In: COH2 Balance

At least there's the micromanagement element to it, plus the benefit of player control. You can then rush a T4 if it's busy firing at a plane and the player forgets to re-toggle back to ground. They can. The USF aa halftrack used to be like that. It would be pretty simple to seperate it's ground fire from aa, or even make the AA a specific upgrade. You just have it switch weapon profiles the same way the shermans or mg ap rounds work. In: COH2 Balance
