Thread: Remove USF Major and OKW Med truck retreat2 Jan 2015, 23:24 PM I'd rather they added non-doctrinal forward retreat points to soviets and whermacht instead. The okw med truck could probably use a little nerf as well. The reinforce range on that thing is rediculous and it probably has a bit too much health. Atleast if you can find the US's forward retreat point it real easy to destroy. In: COH2 Gameplay

Any at all? If the Allies had a tank that worked just like the Panther, you would see the forums in a uproar about it. It kills infantry slightly slower then other tanks. An IS-2 will always lose in a straight up battle a KT easily. And I see KT literal stroll right up in front of two AT guns destroy them and then just fall back for repairs easily. AT guns alone are never enough to stop a KT. "KT isn't really the issue with OKW balance" It's why we are having this thread. There is a reason OKW is so strong late game and it's not because of pumas. So yeah, everything he wrote. Just reverse it and you will be closer to the truth. In: COH2 Balance

And yeah, OKW gets the most AA defense on the side to reward you for choosing it over Ostheer and later for building T4 you wouldve built anyways... The major seems to be the most lackluster introduction of offmap support. -Have a super terrible air recon. -Go sacrifice yourself for a medium artillery barrage. Yeah, I think the same thing. They tried to make AA and airsupport more of a thing with loitering, but Air abilities are never a consistent enough threat to invest anything into AA to counter it. The only thing that would cause that sort of play is if players could purchase planes like any other unit, and consistently call them in until they are are destroyed. In: Lobby

That would make it even worse. It wouldn't be able to do enough damage to scare away any tank even if it was more consistent it would just be consistently sucky. The 57mm itself is fine anyway, it's arc and range at vet 1 is amazing. It the ap ability that isn't holding up. It should be giving it the same pen as the other AT guns. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: VI B and Teching27 Dec 2014, 06:39 AM Lots of people are saying how it would be unfair to not be able to build the KT if you lost a building or just the flak HQ, but that's how it is for all their units. That's the disadvantage of being able to put those buildings up in the field in the first place. The king Tiger is the only unit except the base ones that is excluded from this type of risk. The result is that players fast teching to the KT put their buildings in ridiculously forward locations that they could never really defend, knowing that the buildings hold pretty much no value to them other then delaying the allied players who has to invest a lot of time and resources to taking them out. Making it way too easy to delay for a KT, especially in team games. In: COH2 Balance

OKW has enough of a problem as is in dealing with medium armor, and I have not seen a Volks/Ober blob ever being a problem at a solid level of play. Since OKW has no nondoctrinal snare, you can pretty much run over/push around 2 squads of Volks with a medium largely risk free provided decent micro. In general, counterblobs/Allied elite infantry or really any sort of AOE weapons deal with Volks fairly easily. In: COH2 Balance
