For some reason I remember them through a press release announcing a week or two before hand, I might be wrong though. Can anyone confirm when the initial alpha began for WFA last year? Something tells me they are following the same time schedule as they did last year. I believe there was like a week before they put the video out on youtube. And yes they seem to follow a yearly time schedule with large releases. Both the original and WFA tests and release took place at the same time. I know because all the alphas/betas started right before my finals, which is a bit annoying. In: Lobby

When did the first WFA alpha test begin because there was multiple waves? I was in the one that ended just a few weeks before the actual release of WFA. It was the test when they overhauled OKW truck and economy mechanics a couple days before the end of the alpha. There was a trailer and announcement as I'm sure there will be for this. But the majority of the information about the factions and warspoils were kept secret until they declassified some of the content. In: Lobby

On may 6 the entire community will know exactly what is being tested. there are far too many people in the alpha for there to be no leaks. They surely aren't foolish enough to try to keep it under wraps. I'm sure people tried to get their alt accounts in as well and will leak as their alt so they can still play. I don't know. WFA held on for quite a long time without people knowing much. Not to mention that there will likely be plenty of false information going around to throw the community off of what is real and what isn't. In: Lobby

UKF is already well confirmed, but those other things might happen as well. The alpha is a great because Relic often patches it very often, so they might be able to use it to test out large changes to the USSR non-doc roster or Wher teching without having to worry about accidental breaking the live game. A lot of the official patches are often very tame, because they hold the risk of breaking the game. With the alpha they don't have to worry about that. In: Lobby

Hopefully the brits will be in a better state when it starts. Not to mention they only have to focus on 1 faction this time around. Maybe we will see some big changes to the other factions as well. The Pack needs an excessive amount of time to destroy a building. It's slow rate of fire assures that and a lot of the shots will straight up miss. It's not much better at hitting the infantry around it either, because as I've said before the barrage sucks. A single pio could repair it faster then it can damage it. Literally every other weapon that can damage OKW trucks will prove more efficient then the pack. In: COH2 Balance
