In my case, about team games. I got your point and ill try it out in 2vs2.
Thanks!!! |
Okay, I don't want to sound like a downer but how far can you shoot if you build howitzer at your HQ?
Probably not even passed mid VP. |
imo, the most reliable way to kill tiger aces is a well supported isu152.
the tiger ace is slow and will have difficulty closing into range of the isu152.
So is ISU152. And it is also made of paper and it will die to like two shots. |
Well, I'll try that. The problem is that you only save up what... like 30 seconds? You need to wait for the crew to die in flames (that takes time), wait for fire to burn out (takes time) then recrew it, aim it again (that takes time to) and shoot it. You also will need to reinforce your cons, so there is some mp expedinture plus muni for Molotov....and all of these micro (if you can call it micro), resources and time spent to shoot a gun that will miss by like 100 feet??? All of these??? Thirty seconds???? |
Hello all,
I am looking for team mates to play as Soviets. My current rank is at 0.57ish which indicates more wins than losses.
I am pretty busy with my work and school so don't expect me to be available 24/7 but I still find time to play 4/7 nights. I always play every Saturday night 5-9 EST, Sunday mornings 7-9 and some nights after 7pm on occasion. (It really depends how busy my work is)
About myself.
I am active player since 2003. I've played mostly MMORPG and FPS, so I was totally new to CoH2 when it arrived in June last year. It took me a while to get used to RTS but during last two months I have improved my skills a lot and I could consider myself as a decent player.
I live on East Coast for last ten years but I am from Eastern Europe and my best language is Russian. I am obsessed with history of WW2, Great Patriotic War in particular, and since little up I've read hundreds of books about these. I used to be a member of a team of enthusiasts who were digging in WW2 fortifications and battlefield for any remnants of fallen soldiers, their weapons and military regalia. Our best findings were MG34 and SVT40 (metal frames only, and empty shells, wooden parts were gone after more than 50 years). These items were given to a local WW2 museum.
I was really excited about CoH2 release, from day one I play as Soviets, I always look for new ways to improve my gameplay. Recently, I realized that I need somehow to communicate to my mates in better way than typing in chat, therefore I would like to join a clan.
I don't want to create my own clan with someone, I would rather join an already existant community of serious players. I truly like this game but I miss sense of a guild/ clan and team, just like it used to be in World of Warcraft and Age of Conan.
Let me know! Thanks! |
See? I told you, just give it some time. Your tactics will improve. Just analyze your mistakes and watch most interesting replays of recent games. |
I would say just keep playing. I started coh2 as a noob, and first I was losing and losing and losing, my teammates were cursing me in chat but little by little I picked it up. Now, I get more wins then loses and many times I mentor less experience players.
Just keep playing, watch replays over twitch TV or YouTube, read posts on this forums and you will be fine. |
I could agree that it is a very very powerful support commander in team games but on my side, I never got any luck with this gun. It's so inaccurate that it takes me like 8-10 shots to vet1, and then either howie dies or the game is already over. Short reload time is great but increased rate of fire draws to much attention. I'd rather have ML20 shoveled somewhere deep in the bush and covering two out of three VP.
I'm not saying that the gun and commander itself is a waste of time because I've seen other fox impressively knocking out German heavies with precise strike.
I also don't really like KV1, its armor is pretty fat and it can safely exchange shots with Tiger but 76mm pee-pee gun does like zero damage to tanks. It works alright in conjunction with SU85, when KV1 is your shield and SU85 is your sword, and if you wield this weapon skillfully you might decapitate the Dragon and save the Princess.
The whole idea of this commander is great but I don't like the fact that when choosing this commander you loose building choices. It's like you must go T2 for ZiS gun, and then you must go T4 for SU85. This way the game turns into "Rock Paper Scissors" even more.
I also would love to see Guards instead of Shocks. I think they fit here better. |
Just like someone asked a question on reliable way to kill a panther, the answer will be - there is no good receipe, it is all situational and differs from game to game. The way you choose depends on enemies arsenal. Many times Elephants stay far from frontlines but unprotected, see if there is a way to sneak around and flank it.
From my experience I would say that ML-20 is the best bet. There is even an achievement for killing five elephants which will unlock new bulletin.
I want to try B4, I kinda like faster reload time, and interesting to see how many punches KV-1 can swallow. |
How about this:
Exchange SU-76 with the Halftrack.
As someone who always goes T4, I miss the halftrack so much.......It is my least used unit and the suppression/reinforcement would be very useful to compensate for the SU-85's poor AI.
If I go T3, then the SU-76 can help support the T-34/76 in long range pea shooting..
Now we're talking.... much better |
