Thread: What Exactly is Unbalanced?9 Jul 2013, 12:09 PM People go on about how unbalanced this game is but I don't have problems often. When I lose it's my fault as I forgot to do something or neglected a resource. I know the Clown car and sniper thing, but that's not a balance issue that's just a cheap trick that should be stopped. So what is unbalanced? And don't say German tanks as the Russians have tanks that can deal with them (Tank Destroyer) plus Guard Infantry, dunno about the Tiger though never fought one. This was pretty expensive 360 for the PG's and 120 munitions for the Schrecks. But, it really didn't matter what type of tanks the Red Army spammed and threw at me. The PG's systematically took them out at range. A couple of MG's and an AT gun or two and it's pretty unstoppable. Allows you to beat them down so badly that you can start making your own tanks. Hardly unstoppable. You must have been playing a new player who didn't support his tanks. Play someone who knows how to play and try and beat Russian tanks backed up with Conscripts with PPSH's and Guard Riflemen In: Ostheer Strategies

Thread: build order.7 Jul 2013, 20:31 PM Have you thought about building a support building straight off then getting a Maxim out then Conscripts? As you say you like to pay attention to fuel points but with Conscripts once you get the fuel points you need to keep moving them leaving points undefended. If you had a Maxim early on it could help lock down a fuel point leaving you not having to worry about it being taken from you early while you use your Conscripts to keep capping other points. Plus if the enemy knows you got a Maxim defending a fuel point they will be concentrating hard on trying to take that Maxim out diverting their attention more. I like your strategy overall though just giving you alternative ideas for early build. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Found a Good 2v2 Strategy to Use for Random Games7 Jul 2013, 20:12 PM Given the random nature of what experience your teammate has playing the game and the fact that you don't even know them and can't talk strategy with half of them anyway as they don't want to I found a good way you can help yourself with random team games with Russians. Simply just watch what your teammate builds first. If he builds Conscripts first build a support building then start off with Maxims. Or if he builds Maxims first build Conscripts. That way it's very easy to support your team mate early on and gain the advantage as if his Conscripts get in trouble you can run a Maxim up there, or if his Maxims get in trouble you can get Conscripts there. Did this strategy in one of my replays I posted and we literally blitzed the opposition in record time. Hope you find this idea helpful. Obviously doesn't matter if friends/clans and people who know each other play each other. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Russian Win Through Teamwork6 Jul 2013, 22:30 PM With proper teamwork this is what happens. Fastest win I ever had. Was fun if a little one sided, if the other team had equal teamwork it could have been crazy. My general build order in games is 2 Maxims 2 Conscripts and 1 engineer early game. Maxims to lock down fuel mainly. Sometimes 1 Maxim 2 conscripts then 1 Maxim. Always prefer to start with Maxim as Russians as they lock down places so I dont lose them early.
