It's all about micro and that's a bit hard with the delay. I never had any players pop smoke yet. And buttoning ability only needs to be used once per Guard unit. If you have two or three once one has finished the other unit takes over buttoning. Also Guards damage tanks jsut by shooting anyway. But the main point is the enemy won't move his tanks forward to take out your tank as they worry about the Guards shooting it behind helping your tank keep its range In: Red Army Strategies

Thread: Looking for 2vs2 tactic11 Jul 2013, 19:08 PM Best tactic in 2v2 or any game is super aggression. Get their resource points and harass them everywhere on the map. My build order is: 3x Cons 1x Engy Build Rifle building Scout Car plus flaming Engy Then a few Guards Riflemen Then after that it's any unit I feel I need then straight to building an SU-85 with the last building. Oh and to counter German tanks use Guards and SU-85. Keep Guards in front buttoning the tanks and the Destroyers behind them using their superior range to own them. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Found a Good Way to Counter Germans and heir Scary Tanks11 Jul 2013, 19:01 PM Here is the strategy: A couple of units of Guards troops buttoning the tank supported by 1 or 2 Tank Destroyers. Can do it with 1 Destroyer but 2 is always safest. I found that if you keep the Guards units in front of the Destroyers the player will hesitate in rushing forward towards the Destroyer meaning the Destroyer can use it's better range to its advantage. No tank likes Guards troops firing at its rear, especially with the buttoning ability. Works like a charm for me against Panzers especially, they get completely owned. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: I Will Never Judge Noobs Again11 Jul 2013, 14:49 PM Was playing a random 2v2. Every player was clearly not very experienced with the game, I thought this will be easy and boring. But turns out I almost got completely owned. The other team fenced off all the resources there side so couldn't get in to them early on, then when I got my vehicles out I only found out that they mined literally the entire map. There armies consisted of MG guns and Pioneers, backed up by mortars. Eventually our team did win (my team mate had an army of engineers and mortars too lol) but not before they took out 3 of my tanks (through mines only) and pinned down and mortared loads of my units. It was a strategy I never expected. I gotta admit this certainly taught me a lesson, never judge a noob till you beat them. In: Strategy Desk
