If it's the one where the soviet player gets vet3 by not having the vps you need to baserush while he has the VPS with command p4 and regular p4. You cant win otherwise since he calls in so many units. On the other maps I just won by going 5 pios or something and making a bunker covering the vps,AI has super hard time to clear it. Thread: Veterancy on light vehicles27 Aug 2013, 10:56 AM Does anyone else feel like light vehicles (t-70, 221/2 and 251) get veterancy at too high of a rate? The 222 almost gets vet1 from killing an m3. It's very noticeable on the german vehicles with the current vet systems where vet2 makes them so resilient to the atnades and such. Ofcourse preservation should be rewarded but you dont need to kill a lot of stuff to get veterancy atm. In: COH2 Balance

I say overall it's not a needed mechanic. True but there is more enemy territory than only his base. And I dont like base rush in general I can see why its a not needed mechanic in high level play but i like the suspension/tension it brings In: Replays

It makes driving nearer to enemy territory more dangerous and rewards more boring, cautious, campy play styles. I don't agree. Yes going to the enemies territory unsupported is now more dangerous but for me, it gives an adrenaline rush whenever a vehicle gets abandoned. To quickly destroy it before the enemy gets it or to quickly rush my infantry there for recrewing It doesn't punish players who support their vehicles, which is a good thing. In: Replays
