Thread: Let's talk about optimization 4 Feb 2014, 20:55 PM This is in no way meant to be a rant/rave, I am simply inquiring as to why I can only run coh2 on the lowest settings. It's been a few months now and numerous patches have come out (that's been great and gives me hope!) but none have fixed my optimization problem. I don't have the specs of my computer on me now but I can assure you it's fairly new with decent hardware. Yet when I tried yesterday to turn up the graphics to enjoy an awesome replay and the new amazing models my computer chugged to impossible to watch. I know people have complained about this before but the chatter had dwindled considerably, are people running coh2 better now? If so, can you tell me how to do it? I would really like to run coh2 on a little higher settings, let's hope there is an answer soon. In: Lobby
Thread: Sniper Balance31 Jan 2014, 18:59 PM Smart sov players get guards with snipers. Guards destroy bunkers with ease. I played a guy last night named 2dollars who actually didn't get guards with his sniper and did a damn fine job against all my counters. G43s never caught sniper off guard since cons were protecting him at all times. Same said about scout cars, he at nades them. Then I got a mortar and he just countered that with 120mm mortar. That guy was damn good he owned my cocky ass. In: COH2 Balance

The attack move problem and the fact that the stun round does not stun shocks (which IMO is pretty big deal). Also we definitely had automatic weapons in COH1 at minute 1: Mg42's, Amer. 0.303, Brit bunker (depending on build order). These were all automatic weapons (excluding the Mp40, and Grease gun, Jeep, and bike) which were available as the game started. Shocks (and guards) at 1cp are still bad for gameplay. Gustav has a number of excellent points why that is the problem on the previous page, and I agree with him that call in tanks could be backed up in cp's. Maybe not as high as 12, but they should definitely go back. I want good early infantry micro to matter in this game. The sniper stun round isn't suppose to stop shocks. Which makes the sniper even less of a hard counter to shocks, but this I don't mind. I have seen a sniper incendiary round bug out a few times against cons though. @kaitlof.... I hate to be an asshole but you really haven't played enough games as either faction to have a good grasp on balancing issues. Hell you thought link0 never played lol. I don't even keep track of high rank players and I knew that. Barely over 100 games isn't much my friend. Especially because you haven't quite hit that level of being teamed up or against top tier players. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Shocktroops at 1CP30 Jan 2014, 17:47 PM There is a pretty big difference OZ. Shocks can hit the field in a few minutes. Or else there would be all this hubbub. As I said before they aren't that big of an issue to me but the 1cp shocks has brought up some issues that need balancing, namely OST sniper In: COH2 Balance

Thread: AT guns snipe infantry too often29 Jan 2014, 15:42 PM I never noticed. SU 85 does a good job of sniping infantry though, especially my vet 3 sniper that survived numerous close calls, only to be sniped 1 sec after he shoots a unit in a squad :****(. In: COH2 Balance
