Maybe we should just delete Rifle Company. Seeing as the only useful thing in it is the Easy-Eight since the Vet Riflemen for some nonsensical reason have a 80 second cooldown at the start of the game, which defeats the main point of their existence.
Seeing as everyone on this forum pretty much insists on bitching until every single useful American unit or commander is nerfed into the ground, I'm just going to suggest removing the commander and replacing him with something the German players that populate this forum wont constantly whine about.
I bet once when E8 is nerfed you'll start complaining about vanilla riflemen, too, huh? Or maybe how the AT Rifle Nade consistently causes engine damage? Actually, no, I bet it'll be Paratroopers - like anybody uses those useless fucks lol.
The E8 is fucking fine. It's the only American tank that can manfight another tank - when properly micor'd - is doctrinal, is very late game, and is not a cheap tank. It doesn't reliably penetrate the front armour of any heavy tanks(I don't know what shit you guys are fucking smoking, pass it over) and its performance against infantry is mediocre and only becomes decent with the .50cal upgrade, and is passed out by the vanilla Sherman using HE shells. The PzIV fills the same role as the E8 but costs less (350/125) so naturally it will get beaten, but can still win if mirco'd well enough.
The E8 is not penetrating too much. The E8 is not too cheap. The E8 is not doing too much damage. Try playing USF if everything about them is so fucking strong and get out of your comfort zone.

If only every map in this game wasn't filled with sight blockers and choke points and pathing actually worked! People here can theorycraft all they want but to anyone who actually plays this game(i.e. not the musical chairs that is 1v1 that about 5% of the population plays(Optimistically speaking)) they know that the Jackson's a subpar unit in general. The Jackson is, for some wildly incomprehensible reason, looks like it's on the Wovlerine's chassis. It's one of the most expensive tanks in the game and goes down in three hits from an AT Gun and doesn't penetrate armour half the time. If the maps were decently designed to allow for rapid maneuver of tanks and to allow them to flank and get behind other tanks easily before swiftly moving out of range(i.e. actual harassment) then this might not be a problem. But the maps are not designed like that. They're designed with choke points and pathblockers which makes microing one of these things in a way that makes it work as it looks like it was meant to be designed, effectively impossible. This is already a big problem in 1v1 games to start with, it is dramatically exacerbated in team games where there is much more firepower on the field. It needs an armour buff. It's paper thin, and while I hate to resort to the "realism" argument, the kind of fuck up Relic has done here is on par with making a Luchs as durable as a Tiger. The Jackson has much, much, much better armour - arguably on par with a Tiger I. So it's baffling to me that it's one of the weakest tanks in the game in that regard. In: COH2 Gameplay |

In the OP's thread, he mentions that he is a 3v3 - 4v4 player. Then he says 1v1 balance is unimportant. Thats pretty arrogant as many experienced players will disagree. Experienced 1v1 players. Who aren't important. I would be surprised if 10% of the playerbase consistently played 1v1. I would say 2v2 has the highest skill cap but 3v3s and 4v4s are probably the most widely played. It boggles the fucking mind why this game isn't balanced towards team play. Though god forbid, really, Relic can barely balance a game involving just 2 people.
No fucking shit. If I get a nuclear bomb as a free, 0CP commander ability I guess you can't complain about it being a broken piece of shit because it's called "Nuclear Bomb".
What is this even meant to mean? Firstly, the Walking Stuka is not an expensive unit. In a 1v1 game? It's on the slightly higher end of "moderately expensive", but in team games it isn't even remotely an economic drain. Secondly, it's not even more expensive than other similar artillery alternatives.
And yet if you target a large amount of infantry with a Priest, Katyusha, or Panzerwerfer, they're all dramatically worse than the Walking Stuka, which is probably because it's not even a creeping fucking barrage, it's just dropping its entire payload all at once in a straight line. God forbid you're not constantly right clicking your armies around trying to dodge them, and god forbid you're trying to actually have a fight with your forces instead of having individual squads spread out the entire map capping points on their own, which is essentially playing a shittier version of 1v1.
