Thread: Minor german issues. 26 May 2014, 09:24 AM I agree PGs are not great atm, but before they get a buff, Russian support teams should be fixed. Right now you can't even retreat a Maxim from a PG surprise cause the guy carrying the maxim always dies, making the full squad stop, and the process repeating. I never had any problems with retreating an MG42. Also, T34s absolutely cannot win from a Panzer IV. That's just bullshit. Besides, a pak is much better at countering armor than a ZiS. I really don't understand why you're saying it's so hard to counter Russian armor when playing the Germans. I can see Russian infantry being a problem, but I've hardly ever had a problem with dealing with Russian tanks (apart from the ISU of course). In: COH2 Balance

I just had a game as Russians against an Elefant, and I got into a situation where I could fire 4-5 shots with a stolen pak at that Elefant. Not a single scratch, the front armor is just that strong. Well six Mosin Nagants are a strong as four Kar-98s, but isn't having six of them a disadvantage here? I mean when you match up a Grenadier in same cover as a Conscript against each other, and just let them fire away at each other, it's most likely that the first model to die is a conscript one. At that point there are 5 Mosin Nagants against 4 Kar 98s, so the Grenadiers will actually have higher DPS at this point. The question is if this will be enough of a difference for the Grenadiers to gain and hold some DPS momentum. If the 2nd conscript dies about at the same time as (or sooner than) the 1st grenadier, then the grenadiers will effectively have had more DPS than the conscript, leading them to win the engagement in the end. Now the question is of course what really does happen, RNG makes this a little complex. Would love to see some tests on this, but until then I tend to think Grenadiers are at the advantage here. Thread: @ Relic - Command Input Lag11 Sep 2013, 07:30 AM 100mbit connection means nothing when playing a game like this (I'd be surprised if you need more than 1mbit/s). My biggest replay file is 1.2MB (=9.6Mbit) big, which lasted an hour. It's ping that matters (although of course often people with high bandwidth will experience low pings). To be honest I've never had input lag of 3 seconds, although I do notice some lag every now and then. If that lag can be decreased that would be great, although I personally don't experience it often enough for it to be on the top of my list. It seems I'm quite lucky with the lag I do have problems with dodging grenades, but that's often more due to units reacting, which should be fixed with next patch In: COH2 Gameplay
