I don't agree with everything flyingsmonster said, even though he has some points but the entire topic is about all the advantages the Germans have while not listing any of the Soviet ones. It's a completely bias statement.
I really don't hope that Relic would increase the Soviet AT power on the Soviet heavies. The ISU152, and IS2 are already powerful anti tank weapons and they completely destroy infantry. SU85 have very long range and can take on a Panther on a front to front battle. The Soviets have buttoning ability and AT nades that could potentially stop flanking.
Other than that then yes, the Soviets do need some better AT, but Relic should make some radical changes to do so it. This includes removing the ridiculous rng system that determines whether or not a tank gets it's engine completely destroyed and other nonsense like that.
I agree but it's too late for them to completely modify this. They obviously were in a very low budget when developing this game since it was mainly developed under dying THQ. Perhaps we will see a graphics and physics update with Western Front armies who knows.
I hate to say this, but I actually agree that the scout car is fine. The reason why they're such a pain to kill is due to AT nades range was nerfed to a useless state so you have to rely on AT-Gun (then you're stuck with useless cons), guards (other doctrines that have early AT) or mines (if youre lucky) to kill it until you can tech.
The reason why the soviet scout car isn't as effective is because grens can easily faust it since the faust's range wasn't nerfed. I think AT Nades need a range buff again, however, the at nade and ohhrah cant be used together to make it balanced.
Relic purposely wanted to make scout cars a common thing in the game but I just can't see it happening. The soviet scout car is the new bren carrier and the 222 is a worse version of the armored car.
My problem with this patch is that as it promotes more a more campy game play, soviet mortars seem to be incredibly powerful as they consistently one shot units which isn't even funny.
Be on the move boy then boy. Adapt, keep your units moving and constantly switch cover. *sarcasm
Yes let them have it. It's waste of their munitions so I like it when they use it when ever I'm soviets. Seriously, one penal satchel can kill a bunker.
