Have you tried choosing another download server? You can choose which server to use in Steam -> Settings -> Downloads. Try a few. There are quite a few in South Africa and one in Egypt. Depending on how it is routed, some servers farther away may work as well.

If that doesn't work, you can maybe get the game files from someone else. Games can be backed up from the Steam library and the backup then be used to install the game on another machine or after formating your drive etc.
You'd have to get this every time a new patch hits, though :/

It really is mainly theoretical but overall I think that all those tanks being too close in cost is the real problem. Ultimately, this leads to only the strongest two being built, which in turn creates a stale meta and allows the stronger of the two to completely abuse its strengths.
But I'm sure the devs will already know how to best solve many of the problems once they come to the late game tanks after balancing from early game up.

I think if they'd increase the Su85 price a little (and slightly decrease fuel cost on Stug plus slight drop of T-34 fuel cost plus some other cost changes), we might see some interesting tug of war play based on the (shock) momentum generated by getting a tank on the field.
So for example it might end up like this, assuming both have around the same amount of fuel:
Ost would get a Pz4 and push back the infantry but after a minute or two the Su-85 hits the field, meaning that the Ost player needs to be very careful and on the defensive. Then again a Stug comes in, so now the Soviet player needs to be careful and on the defensive. Then 2 minutes later the second Su85 spawns, allowing the Soviet player to be more offensive again, soon followed by a second Pz4 or Stug etc.

I still think focused sight and it sniping inf/AT guns is stupid, though

Were you playing as Ostheer?
Sometimes the medics won't run towards some units if they are just out of range. This can happen if units take another retreat path and end up on the other side of your headquarters.
Quite common if the bunker isn't very close and as fighting locations across the map may change over a match.

It is probably very expensive to fix. Unless he is a regular Relic employee probably have to hire the voice actor again, book time at a recording studio (preferably the same one, unless they have their own one) etc.

Maybe they'll fix it when/if they are recording new sounds for an expansion/DLC but I don't find it all too irritating.

I just started to really utilize HTD so I'm curious how that will effect my play.
As far as the other stuff I will have to wait and see, no use getting all pissed about something till I actually play it out. Relic is making progress it seems.
It's funny how you can tell which side(russian/german)some people favor by how pissed off they get about certain buffs/nerfs.

Its use will probably shift from "use it all the time" to "use it if there is no large enough other cover available" (often not all squad members get the cover benefit of trees/shrubbery). So it will still be good for using it in red cover or no cover areas. For example to cap a point or to take fire from a MG in a building with one squad while the other ones close in.
For most people it'll just be "useless", though: They just won't use it at all... it'll still have its uses but most people just won't bother using it.
