From what I've gathered from this and last IRHT thread, it seems most agree it should be changed somehow. Is there some other way to raise awareness about it so that balance team could pick it up? I'd be guessing they watch this forum, but still...
It is no secret that the axis are generally stronger in team games, shown by the win rate and percentage of players matchmaking into them in 3v3s and 4v4s. But out of all things, the IR halftrack just boggles my mind.
It has baffling range and arc, 1 or 2 of them behind a sight blocker can give vision over most of enemy troops, allowing stukas and nebels to hit units deep behind enemy lines with pinpoint accuracy. They can hardly be countered because of their range and even if you kill one, big whop, the are cheap as and hell you can just make more, especially considering late game.
I was hoping it could be adjusted since there is a big balance patch comming soon. I haven't thought much about ways to change it, but maybe the player should pay more for extended vision (like an upgrade bought with ammo) or make it an ability with a cooldown?
PAK howitzer is fine, considering how much the Leig is overperforming rn. If you nerf PAK howitzer, you should do the same with Leig. Or leave them both alone, depending on general power creep in the game.
I believe that T1 Lelg of OKW is completely broken. It's range is atleast 45% higher than other non-doctrinal mortars. The barrage has cooldown reduction upon vet, leaving no counter play for allie player. By the time USF gets a PAK howitzer you can have 2 Leigs in position destroying all static positions. Leigs shot far and the shoot deadly. OH, and lets not forget that support crewmen are bullet sponges being able to hold their own vs engineers and echelons, like WTF? Also, the incendiery barrage inhumanely OP, but since its doctrine only I guess it can stay.
