I like howitzers too but as long as certain off map arty strikes can reduce them to ash in a single click (I'm looking at you Stuka bomb strike) nobody in their right mind is going to invest in 600 mp + 100 fuel in static artillery, even more so if it can't be built in HQ territory. Thread: Light Vehicle Adjustments29 May 2016, 14:33 PM Removing the 221 was a terrible idea. The 222 is fine, it might even be a tad too good. In my opinion the 222s strength should be largely made up but its speed and manoeuvrability (not like the armoured shopping trolley it is now). AT guns being able to hit light vehicles almost all the time would be equally ridiculous. It goes against the advantages of light vehicles being more mobile and smaller targets. Sure, if an anti tank gun hits them it should do serious damage but they shouldn't hit them every time. If light vehicles need to be blanket nerfed then that should be done by altering them all, not putting a dirty 'fix' in by changing other unit mechanics. Stop giving relic ideas! In: COH2 Balance
Thread: [OKW] Possible alternatives for the MG42 call in19 May 2016, 13:51 PM That 223 model could be added to Luftwaffe and used as a sort of stationary reinforce point (think Opel blitz meets pathfinder beacon) but only for Falls. that would be pretty sweet, although I guess there could be more far reaching consequences of this and it might be OP, maybe if if this was added then falls should maybe para in rather than emerging from buildings. For defensive, I wonder whether a regular 251 halftrack call-in could be good? with FHQ needing to be built and medics researched the reinforce capability of the halftrack might provide some interesting alternatives to just going Battlegroup HQ every time.
