My guess is that vCoH2 was poorly received in the Russian market due to its campaign storyline and Relic will not venture into another Eastern Front campaign due to this. In: COH2 Gameplay

Allied armor was better than German armor until the Tunisia Campaign where the Tiger first saw action in Africa. The M4 Sherman had better armor and gun than PzIII and PzIV. The Germans relied more on AT guns like the famous 88 to deal with tanks. In: COH2 Gameplay

CoH2 is no longer a game based only in the Eastern Front. As for infirect fire, how about the land mattress as a static emplacement with limited range but a devastating barrage? Buildable by pioneers during offensive mode? They were only used at the very end of the war, but i dont know much else that isnt already present only with a Commonwealth emblem on it. As for the flak mg idea mentioned that would be awesome. A mobile manpower flak with a limited arc. Mortars and 25 pounders are the best candidates to be used as indirect fire. Thread: Buff tank traps - Soviet community commander17 Feb 2015, 15:27 PM Sandbags, wire and tank traps where available to engs/pios in vCoH as core defensive structures. In CoH2, relic developers decided to scrap tanks traps as core defensive structures because AI was not able to deal with them. I guess that was a very poor decision from them. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: vs snipers spam nedd sugestion against that 14 Aug 2014, 15:08 PM I dont think CoH2 has proper hard counters for snipers, although the sniper camo mechanic has changed from vCoH and you can say that CoH2 doesn't need them. Anyways, I watched a bit of your replay and its hard to see the unit composition of the soviet player (I watched via twitch, the system i am currently on is a non-windows OS). The Shapes's advice of using mines might have helped you, if you managed to deploy some mines and/or place an ambushing sturmpioneer squad on a retreat path you would probably killed some snipers. It can be a viable counter but maybe of hard execution. In: Replays
