To add to this, Sturmpioneers already get a repair bonus with the sweeper upgrade additionally to the veterancy buff. It has more to do with how capable other engineers are after the sweeper upgrade than it does with anything else I guess that is two sides of the same coin. In: Lobby

And WFA engineers also get the vet 2 bonus, even though they already have other means of increasing repair speed on their stock roster The vet bonus for WFA is way smaller though. From what I see the sweeper repair bonus does make mostly sense in terms of giving them that early repair boost right out of the gate that OKW also gains with the sweeper upgrade and UKF with bolster (USF does not really need their echelons for repairs anyway). I disagree with Vipper though that in case of shared vet the sweeper bonus must be removed. WFA can get their pios vetted via combat, while EFA pioneers are practically combat incapable after the upgrade. In: Lobby

Once the targeted model gets hit AND has less than a certain HP amount (<75% for JLI and 40% for paths), the model gets instantly killed. JLI have one weapon that can do this, paths have 2. The rest of the squad has 'normal' weapons. Other weapons might share the same visuals and audio, but do not work the same. PTRS can't snipe models, but do a lot of damage IF the PTRS hits. This might lead to the assumption that the PTRS could snipe models, but it does not In: COH2 Gameplay

Even if it could it wouldnt be enough to Vet up engineers. Basically you have to use them in every engagement at the start of the match for them to be able to gain vet before upgrading to the minesweeper upgrade. This is really only an issue with Soviets and Whermact. Combat Engineers (despite the name) are terrible in combat and should probably get shared veterancy once the 7th man upgrade for conscripts is unlocked. Something similar could be done with Pioneers where once you unlock T3/T4 they can get shared vet to keep them upgraded. [To bring this thread back to topic] A shame that sweeping cannot be awarded with XP. I assume it is then the same thing for repairing as suggested by OP? Shared vet might be a decent idea too. Thread: Dealing with Allied Tank Destroyers 7 Jul 2021, 08:04 AM As others already said: PaK40 is the best bet. If your opponent has artillery you need to take the bleed. Don't blob your PaKs though. Otherwise Panther. StuG can work but you need a better feeling when to push as you need to be ready to trade it anytime for an Allied TD. It is also good to take the first shot, so screening with infantry for an unscreened Jackson is very helpful. If you find one, you can push it with your StuG and trade some shots Jacksons can't bounce anything apart from light vehicles though, so this seems to be a wrong memory. In: COH2 Gameplay
