Thread: Can we discuss the PIAT?14 Dec 2015, 00:16 AM I think it's more of a british problem than a PIAT problem. The PIAT's inaccuracy would be fine if they have something to hold down the flank in the early-mid game (a decent AEC). The PIAT is very cost effective at dealing with heavy tank without being overpowered. I would rather not see the PIAT's uniqueness being taken away. However, the PIAT's current uniqueness does mean the british need a decent tank hunter in the early game. I am pretty sure the intent is for the british to buy either the Bofor or the AEC to protect against flanking armor before the british can get their own tank up. In: COH2 Balance

The only remedy is that it is quicker than the centaur (btw how does it compare to the cromwell? Or p4 vs cromwell?). If that is so great.. how about we take away centaur main gun and instead give it 8 or 9 topspeed. Since mobility is survivability like you said, we can also cut is hp and armor in half. Sounds like a great unit, right? :-) Ostwind has one main role and two minor roles. Main role is kill infantry. It's fairly bad at that. Two other roles are AA and maybe light vehicles. It's more or less decent but still not great at that. I'm sure the axis would love to face a 9 speed tank with crush. Schrecks have been on Volks since ever and OKW was regarded as one of the weakest factions in 1v1 before the patch. And out of all things people are complaining about they choose the freaking Schreck on Volks argument, disregarding the stuff that has actually changed. You are complaining about symptoms, not the reasons. Make the Shreck upgrade cost 150 munitions then, go on. even while the okw had clipped fuel and munition income, schreck spam was one of the most reliable strat OKW had access to. Now the OKW can schreck spam in additional to using all of their toy freely because of the increased income. The increased fuel should have encourageed the okw to build and use more of their vehicle, but instead people just default to OKW's most tried and tested strat : schreck spam. In: COH2 Balance

If light armor is the reason Volks have Pzschreck, just give them AT rifle. Exact copy of PTRS with PzB model. because when people think of german anti-tank weapon in ww2, they think panzerfaust and panzerschreck. the panzerbusche was obsolete against the Matilda 2 during 1940. the Soviet was really the only one to stick with anti-tank rifle due to the lack of option. Dude you flip-flop more than politicians :-) Just experiment with the ostwind in cheatmod... or try building it in a automatch game. It's not a very good unit. Not at its intended role (AI) nor at anything else apart from maybe AA (and i'd argue that even here the centaur is far superior) killing squad 8-4 seconds slower than centuar = shitty offense? that's barely one reload circle for a panther.
