CE are cheaper to reinforce simply because they are cheaper to build and still follow original reinforcement ratio while RE should reinforce at the same price as pioneers. all I'm saying that CE are cheaper and better by a mile. Imo CEs is a better combat unit then pios, but pios have 42 sight, so it evens out a bit. I'm not saying that I agree with OP, that REs should win vs pios in that scenario, my claim is that REs is a bad unit. It is in fact so bad, that you only build it for sweeping. If you give every other faction a self repair, you'd see that there are a lot of reasons to build other engies. These reasons are Pios: cover, flamer, mines, synergy with hmg42 cause of 42 sight. Ro E: snare, mines, emplacement building CE: flamer (extreme synergy), mines. Sturms: excellent cqc performance, can hide sweeper, shrek. They also have the best repair speed and easiest to vet And RE: cover (great on the surface, good luck not getting locked when building 2 Tank traps), maybe double zooks. On top of that REs have extremely bad stock combat performance. Ofc, every engie can sweep, lay wire and cut it. Caches are not included, because I don't care about caches. In: COH2 Balance

But if you play only soviets and USF you are tecnically correct CEs are in another league, due to stock flamer, good mines and synergy with merge/m3 clown car. + If unit is cheap, that doesn't mean it should be automatically bad. REs might be third weakest infantry combat unit (after medics and major). I think there could be 3 ways thinking about what to do with REs: -Buff their combat capabilities (like buffing ROF of carbines, or nerfing ROF and bumping damage to 9) -Put an emphasize on their utility. Like giving acc bonus on zooks, increased building speed with sweeper, generally having faster mine clearing and barbwire cutting speed compare to other engies. -Don't touch them and close the thread In: COH2 Balance

Low quality sleep has correlation with lower levels of testosterone and higher levels of cortisol. Some say that if you slept 3-4 hours your reaction is similar to a slightly drunk and 2 hours to severely drunk person, which I actually agree with. Had a minor crash after 3 hours of sleep. Though considering Echelons get their offensive Vet a lot earlier than Riflemen, I guess this could be well worth it. I've looked at few TR's 1919 games and with confidence can say that RE and .30 cal is not an effective match. Maybe if they get to vet3, but otherwise, you'd rather give it to anyone but REs. Thread: High level Knowledge on Balance - tournament 19 Jan 2022, 13:51 PM Guys, every faction "spams" infantry. Only OST can have less of it, because of efficiency of 2x HMG42 build. I think the problem is that both cons and Grens scale better/efficiently then volks and rifles. Volks being mediocre once their power spike wears off and rifles being very expensive to scale and maintain. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Increased RA from nearly squads - Antiblob measure.19 Jan 2022, 11:33 AM well stacking "negative RA" aura kind of make sense as the most simple solution (in theory), while incremental accuracy is a weird one, since it stacks with models (AFAIK) not squads. Also, as was pointed out earlier, what is actually a blob? 3 or more squads in a "tight formation"? Maybe 4 or more? Also if I spread my 4 squads with gaps between them and move them in that formation, should this also be punished? In: COH2 Gameplay

I'm aware of this elevation, covers, etc. This is just one unit very exceptional and dodging hits even though its parked raketeen and P4s (very close both stopped) are unable to hit it. I'm guessing there's a buff on it size when it hits veterancy? it's almost invincible in vet3 with its speed, acceleration, and sight. Why bother asking, if you put a lot more weight in several unlucky encounters, then in what people may answer you? This is a game of odds or RNG. You can have both unlucky rolls and extremely lucky rolls in one game, but nobody remembers lucky once, since this is how our perception works.
