It's been a while since i played as russians in 1v1, and man i was feeling rusty.
"Why a funny game" you might ask.
Here goes:
-98 pop
-0 kills mortar
-vet 3 flame engineer (14 kills, 2 less then my sniper)
And if none of the above seem interesting to you, then you definitely need to watch the squad of nuclear panzergrenadiers unleashing their fury on a captured mg42 team who was looking some cover from the cold in the house left of the munition point. (around 14:15 - 14:30 into the game).

gg, i messed up big time not covering my mg properly. and many other mistakes costed me the game.

I didn't mean for this to be anything else but a demonstration that the game gives you the tools to deal with anything your opponent throws at you.
There are a lot of times that ostheer players put a mg into a house or covering a choke point and leaving it unsupported as it would be some kind of superhero. But when a m3 with flames comes they call it overpowered.
I still have a lot to learn, and i'm looking forward to setting up some games

Even with the state of the game at 10 minute mark, russians can still go t34 to pick away at the enemy and drain manpower. |

was an interesting game.
my mg and my second mortar ht were like superheroes, dodging molotovs and t34 fire.
i was rather noobish with the panthers, but i think i should have went more inf + t3 instead of them and an earlier panzerwerfer would have done more.

thanks. i'm having some issues figuring out how to play ostheer. but after playing a lot of games with russians, i know some of the timings and managed to get the "counter" to it.
I think that you should have waited a bit with the scoutcar (as you revealed it to me when you passed the med bunker, which allowed me to position my grens properly). If you have brought the consripts to engage my grens and then followed with the scout car, that battle would have been favorable to you. From there, the t70 would have been replaced with t34 and the game would have been something different.

After a long series of losses, i sent my grenadiers to the dance school so they can keep warm during the blizzards.
This game has:
- a lot of molotov vs rifle grenades battles
- a nice counter to the engi+flame inside a scout car
- decent response to the t70

It's been quite a while since i last managed to take a game off Grandmastersexy. A lot of mistakes on both sides and some interesting encounters. |
