Thread: Early game soviet weapon team spam1 Nov 2019, 09:08 AM No im saying maxim spam is more viable than others. Maybe 50cal could but it comes too late. We seen han/devm play meta normally. It is obvious they purposefully play few matches with maxim spam and it is cause maxim allows it. Maxim spam is viable and hard for Wehr to counter still. Maxim has some strong attributes that dont make ze worse mg like claimed You can pull it off still is all im saying. The OP is not wrong to say. We shouldn't dismiss that. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Early game soviet weapon team spam1 Nov 2019, 08:18 AM I think hans/devm made maxim spam in rail metals during last 2v2 championship. It is still op because of its fast motion and 6 man squad. I dont think maxim is as dastardly as allies try to make up. Just saying. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Tiger or Tiger Ace for noobs?1 Nov 2019, 08:02 AM I haven't been using tigers for a long while, preferring speed of panthers. But from the 1v1 tourny, tigers seem good, offering armor and AI. If i wanted to start playing tigers, which shoud i practice with? Tiger ace doctrine seems useful overall while Tiger are in more choices In: COH2 Gameplay

Ost and sov unit esp inf and support weapons have simaler % in vet bonusses. But ost has weak vet bonusses. Ost mg,s and main line are actualy cheaper except for the vickers, but their tanks are more expensive as a balance. But yeah axis forever up, balance may never be achieved. Flood the forums with allies op and axis up. But it is true though. At least whenever i compare vet of same tier units, i found Wehr is more handicap. I haven't do extensive comparison, but it is there. And so is the micro. I think wehr needs a bit more apm. You can say usf needs an extra bit of scouting, but wehr seems to require babysitting mostly In: COH2 Balance

Since we have tweak the strength out of this T4 units. I think this vet1 abilities should be put together as one too. Target size speed accuracy bonus is much needed for panthers to take on heavies and 60TD imo. Of course it will benefit ostwind and make p4 more useful to t4 heavies In: COH2 Balance

Every faction has non-meta/underpowered units. Well actually some factions have a bit more underpowered units than others. When almost an entire building is not worth getting in 1v1, there's a problem. Ost is the faction of "exceptions," it has an exceptionally weak early game and an exceptionally expensive T4. Hence something that's exceptionally expensive should perform exceptionally, not 10% better than a T3 counterpart. Alright, I'm exaggerating with the "exceptions." But Ost T4 is still hands down the most expensive T4. Bottom line, T4 is supposed to be an INTEGRAL part of 1v1 play. Ost is SUPPOSED to have a very strong late game due to weakest early game but when T4 is only marginally better than T3 given the significant extra costs, Ost doesn't have a late game for 1v1. Basically this. From wehr 2v2 random perspective. I feel im paying 10% more, microing 10% harder, for units 5% better on paper, but not so in heat of battle. % are illustrative based on experience and not actual derives. Their 4 man infantry, the t4 and elefant and brumbar issues brought up here, the poor vet bonus, etc. I think it all ties into the general outlook of current Wehr faction In: COH2 Balance

The Elefant is enough to dominate all Allied armor, and is very hard to flank when it can see enemies coming from miles away with spotting scopes and when it's properly supported with Pak 40s / Schrecks or other tanks for support to prevent a dive. The ISU-152 does not dominate the meta like the Elefant did and still does. Also, fun fact, the Elefant is actually better at dealing with flanks because it has better gun traverse than the ISU-152. Top Speed hardly matters there. The Elefant has a faster reload, higher alpha damage (which means two shots and a faust can kill a medium tank or a TD) and doesn't need to switch shells first. The only advantage the ISU-152's got here is slightly higher rear armor, that only helps against Panzer IVs because the Panther, Jagdpanzer IV and Stug ausf.E are guaranteed to penetrate it at any distance. Go watch the 2v2 Masters Cup here and tell us how many ISU-152s you saw compared to how many Elefants. These matches show how dominant the Elefant was in most games, and how incredibly hard it was for the Allies to take it out. We have to agree to disagree then. My question is still is the elefant that much better to make it that eaiser to kill than isu? Imo no. About spotting scope, it just got nerf. So did command tank. 2 further hits to elefant to raise the above questions about why wehr paying more always. About flanking, imo both their guns are so slow, it wont matter. I always thought rotation is more important to cover your rear, which why Churchill are quietly op even they are slow. I also think faster isu speed allow it to reverse out faster importantly. Besides the percentage different between their 2 plus points still higher for isu. Wehr have to depend on stug you say. Then soviet have su85. Isnt it better? About the 2v2, i made comment back when i was viewing. Elefant was keeping wehr in the games. If there is panic puma, we have essential elefant. As i play 2v2, i totally get being locked out by 60TD as the game progress. Back then ukf just dominant with Churchill. I think there was a match up between isu and elefant in a map with hans/devm vs some other. I don't remember elefant domination. In: COH2 Balance

Isu also has 70 range and deal more hp damage than wehr units except elefant. It can frontally pen panther. As highlighted, sov have more options to kill elefant even without ISU. It is easier to throw 2 t34, with good effect, than 2 P4 or even P5. I don't agree with zone out too. It is 1 canon or 2 if both Wehr chose it(unlikely). Elefant canon is slow and well slow. Different from allies 60TD since you can field at least 2 each in 2v2. I mean yes elefant is good mobile big pak, but hardly enough to zone out, at least in 2v2 i play. Just do a rush of t34 or sherman and i got to back padel hard Like i said, killing elefant is easier than isu these days In: COH2 Balance

Throw 2 t34 for flank/ram and snipe with su85. And besides the snares available for penal OR cons. Sov has other AT like mark vehicle, AT bombs. Isu also more able to defend against infantry. This is impact of focusing on balance design against Wehr For Wehr, if you dont have elefant or ju doctrine, you are in for long game. Shit son will need double panthers or hope your team mate is okw In: COH2 Balance
