Thread: Requesting that the Ost 251 Forward Retreat Point stay.19 Jun 2019, 17:41 PM I bet ostheer would only get an frp from the community modders if it's included in a doctrine that actively makes standard units worse... Just imagine, panzergrenaiders spawn with mp40s and panzerbuchse, panzer 4 and stug 3 are changed to short barrel variant and battle phase 3 is not available... just like in Theater of War Barbarossa missions. Then, maybe, but just maybe you can get an FRP. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Requesting that the Ost 251 Forward Retreat Point stay.19 Jun 2019, 16:44 PM So yeah, 251 FRP in it's current form is no doubt OP, but in late game, especially on larger maps it's almost a requirement for infantry play. The lack of FRP really just forces wehrmacht and soviet players to shift towards vehicle play, making infantry play mostly obsolete (as in being less strategic and mostly just about grabbing points before having to retreat), unlike on WFA armies. Might be related to spearhead or whatever the ability it gets is (not blitz, I'm talking about the one that locks turret rotation to 90 degrees and stuff). I experienced the opposite of this where the Tiger ace wouldn't attack infantry targets automaticly with the main gun at all, regardless of priority setting. In: Lobby
Thread: Bug Report for Commander patch17 Jun 2019, 19:29 PM Not related to this patch, but I'm putting it here cuz it's still not fixed: Stormtrooper panzerschreck still costs 75 muni, isn't it supposed to cost only 60? Also, once you get the schreck update, you gain the detect vehicles ability, which is on hotkey D, same as smoke grenades. Additionally, it gains priority, so when you try to smoke, you instead activate this ability, wasting munitions and probably ending up having to retreat. In: Lobby

Healing could be applied in some 'cool' way. How about some button on the retreat point halftack to drop some medical supplies like okw pios next to it to be picked up with a healig aura? It could be for free after purchasing the upgrade on the halftrack or come without extra upgrade cost but you should pay every time you drop such crates. Wehrmacht has medic bunker and field medikits on pioneers and grenadiers (I miss the PG medikits...), I don't think they need yet an another healer. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Requesting that the Ost 251 Forward Retreat Point stay.17 Jun 2019, 06:26 AM Just a simple argument for ost and sov FRP: some say that FRPs would make ostheer and soviets op, but if it's that true, then why don't these two factions dominate against WFA armies on smaller maps where FRPs don't really make a difference? We are not talking about making these factions stronger, we are talking about a handicap they are suffering on large maps. Again, their FRPs shouldn't be a doctrinal choice but a default feature imo. Thread: Requesting that the Ost 251 Forward Retreat Point stay.16 Jun 2019, 16:39 PM How about enabling FRP at T4 for some munitions for both the ostheer 251 halftrack and the soviet M5 by default, without any doctrine requirement? Large maps are indeed very crippling for these two factions. I mean these HTs can be used to reinforce on the frontline, but doing so they can be taken out quite easily by AT. It's also quite micro intensive and risky, compare this to simply tapping the retreat key and enjoying the retreat bonuses on the WFA factions with FRP. Balance changes would include that these HTs can only act as FRP in friendly territory and would need some time to set up. In: COH2 Gameplay
