Thread: Wehrmacht September patch discussion28 Aug 2019, 21:38 PM IR STGs for PGs indeed either should be available at BP3, or limited to only one. I mean compared to Obers that retain two of their rifles, a PG squad with 2 regular and two 2 IR STGs would be absolute terminators at mid range and lower. Or just make the PG variant weaker. What about giving storms their old 4x stg package in place of the G43 upgrade? It was a lot stronger combined with tactical advance compared to their very limited range Mp40s. In: COH2 Balance

Haven't checked how much exactly, but you can get CP xp for every defensive and base building, the amount depending on their cost. We didn't want to give the squads 4 of them because of their incredibly high moving accuracy (they'd likely become monsters at chasing and wiping, especially Stormtroopers who can hide behind enemy lines) but removing the high moving DPS would both create yet another type of G43 rifle (we'd have 1 sniper G43, 1 medium G43 that's great on the move and 1 elite G43 that would not be great on the move, all looking the same, making things more confusing for the average player) and make them less unique/iconic weapons. What about replacing elite G43 upgrade with 1-2 infrared STGs? I mean in the PGs case I believe for the average player it may be a bit confusing how a semi auto rifle is supposed to be better than an assault rifle, vampir STGs on the other hand would be a clear upgrade. (I know, they were late war, but they were primarily used on the eastern front) As for storms, I would love to see 4x STG package returning in place of the G43s. The STGs, thanks to their longer effective range, were generally much better when used with tactical advance and safer to use too. I didn't know the zook range bulletin didn't affect the elite ones, this is relevant for me as I use zooks mostly on rangers or paratroopers. I did a quick test with two riflemen being shot at by HMGs, with one having over a dozen officers behind them, didn't notice any difference. Does it confirm this bulletin is defunct too? Thread: Ostheer and Soviet FRP discussion24 Aug 2019, 08:25 AM I still would like to see Wehr and Soviet FRPs. Just recently got my hands on the WFA armies, and the 1st thing I noticed when I switched back non-dlc armies on 4v4 maps is that it takes ages to retreat and get back my troops on the frontline again. In fact even on smaller, 2v2 maps sometimes I set an FRP, that few meters difference can matter. I mean, are soviet and wehr infantry that much stronger that seeing them more often would throw off the balance? If so, then they would be already inbalanced on smaller maps. Again, we are talking about a handicap for these armies. Yes, there are the halftracks, with doctrines even WFA armies can get them, yet they are rarely used and even when used they easily get destroyed on the frontline and generally it's a lot more micro intensive to handle them. Thread: UKF Advanced Assembly Engineers19 Aug 2019, 14:31 PM Imo they shouldn't repair in combat, it just frees up too much micro tax for the sim citying player. I mean when I do it, I just have to check on the emplacement every so often, but for the majority of times I can focus on my mobile army. If for example a mortar is barraging an emplacement, then outrepairing the damage without player input shouldn't be a thing, instead the player should actively counter the threat. I would be ok with the automatrons repairing in idle times, I mean it already means that I don't have to assign any mobile combat infantry units for repairing duties. In: COH2 Bugs
