Thread: Railway Artillery7 Dec 2020, 15:17 PM i dont see the problem, there were plenty of diffrent railway artys in WW2 on the german side. from 20-40 or 80cm (heavy gustav). So basically you can imagine that it is other types of railway arty firering (20-40cm). So basically only the voiceline (schwerer gustav is fireing) that triggers sometimes is wrong (historically speaking). 3 Schells must obviously mean 3 different railway artys fireing a barrage. So basically you want to change one ability completly becouse of one misleading voiceline? In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: [Winter Balance Update] OST Feedback27 Nov 2020, 10:36 AM My proposal would be the following. Currently grens are not so good at the moment. Lmg grens. Vet2 gives acces to firering position. Needs lmg and vet2. Functions similar to guards ability sqad becomes immobile and after 2-3 sec it gets a dps buff. Cooldown until you can move again 10 sec. That way grens could fullfill their defensive role better in the lategame. 10 sec cooldown will prevent it from being used while out of position or in blobs. G43 grens cost to 60ammo. Vet1 gives a small received accuracy buff. If the abiliry becomes to potent then, nerf the moving acc of the g43 In: COH2 Balance

USF got a small buff on riflemen and Sov got nothing (besides SVTS). And guess what try stop 3min pgs when all you have is conscripts (you cant) maxim just gets countered by a vehilce of ostheer choice leaving dshka the only option. Brits were always an different issue. But please stop talking like 3 min pgs are fine vs soviet, becouse guess what they are not. They basically removed soviet from competive 1vs1 As long as ostheer will be able to skip t1 and go PGs directly they will always remain a problem (unless they nerf their performace which i dont think is a good idea) In: COH2 Balance

Pgs were a bad choice when t2 was 200mp becouse you coudnt afford them. Besides Pgs the combined arms PGs get might need to be looked into (it becomes pretty nasty with the standart vet1 recc acc buff) Otherwise im not sure if PGs need to be in t2 back, but they certainly need either t1 or t2 being build in order to stop them from arriving at 3 min. The problem with them is that at 3 min, they slaughter allied infantry at every range, there isnt a good rang to fight them becouse allies are more close range oriented (exept brits) Vs penals you can at least sit in green cover. Comparisons to penals are misleading, since a) penal sacrfices early map presence and easy acces to At gun b)penal Ptrs becomes obsolete when mediums hit the field, while Pgs can somewhat still function with schrecks and thus enable t2 skips c) bundle nade > satchel In: COH2 Balance

Stormjäger Hit the dirt for Grenadiers seems a bit too much like a straight damage nerf. What I would do is give them a more specific hit the dirt, maybe called “Deploy in position”, which would lock grenadiers in position on the ground for 10 secs minimum (can only retreat in that time not get out of it until 10secs finish), and would complement their long range role by maybe increasing their weapon range by 5, 7 or 10 and in turn giving them a minimum range of 5-10 (can’t engage squads until out of that range). Seems more fair, usable, better synergizing with their role and adds a nice defensive nature to them. Well i suggested the guards hit the dirt (i think fireing position its called) that one gives an offensive buff after like 2 sec. I totally agree that cons hit the dirt woudnt help grens at all In: COH2 Balance
Thread: First Quarter 2021 Balance Patch25 Nov 2020, 11:45 AM I will just add some ideas into how to buff grens/cons Ppsh without making them OP. I suggest following change LMG42 grens vet 1 (or 2 if its too op early game) now unlocks some sort of "hit the dirt"(only functions when upgrated with LMG42). It functions similar to the guards ability. Grens get a dps boost, but become completly stationary. Exact numbers must be tweeked might even add an rec acc nerf (that might go away with vet) so its only usefull when your in green cover. That way grens will have a way effectivly trading rifles at vet3 when they charge them frontally. G43 grens Cost of the upgrate to 60 ammo, gives a recc acc buff at vet1 (or 2). 5-10%. Cons Vet 3 is toned down a little (recc acc by 5% for example) This buff is added to the ppsh combat package. That way PPsh become more inline with the SVT and 7 Men upgrate + a slight nerf to cons 7 men which seem to outtrade just a little too well at vet3 What do you guys think? In: COH2 Balance

Changes required: Reduce hp so mine can oneshot it and it dies to 2 fausts Reduce dmg to sov sc level Reduce range Then this unit becomes like a sov sc with more utility which is fine IMO not the stupid I snipe evrything at max range unit In: Lobby
