There are already after patches balance threads. I find OP misleading and biased towards the actual game balance situation. Regardless of that i think the game balance is far better than older (i mean very old) patches.
SU team weapons could receive a little more attention |
It means that regardless of rifle or gren state, grens are supposed to lose at all distances and they do, rifle buff didn't changed anything here.
I wish you could say the same about cons without flipping a table over.
On topic, i've seen grens doing fine, the close range buff for riflemen was not meant to make them OP but to assure their close range dominance in early game. They still have a hard time vs assgrens |
Let's be civil about buffing riflemen /s |
Asking officers and tech buffs in a riflemen OP thread... the ultimate offtopic.
|
I smell a lot of L2P here...
But apart from that, IMO free officers should stay, they make USF a little more unique when it comes to teching. I see a lot of scrambling with faction powespikes in the latest patches, OST got a new one at T2, OKM delayed, cons and IS adjusted and so on.
If officers build time is reduced and the units in the same tier delayed it can give the player the feel of a strong opening with a more conservative mindset towards midrange and lategame |
What i can understand of Stug vs Katitof discussion is this:
A faction that no alternative but a linear teching (Axis) has advantages but a big drawback too.
-Pros: Solid, one tech enables all the next tier abilities, 'cheap' as a bundle of new abilities.
-Cons: The player must always tech the same way, expensive for a single ability , prone to stalls due a cut off or resource shortage, units costs are higher because the unit has the ability wether you use it or not.
A faction with optional sidetechs (Allies) have their own set too:
-Pros: Adaptable, modular, on team games provides a lot of synergy, cheaper for single abilities, teching cost are cheaper, can offer lategame superiority because units have a slower proggression, good for reactive playstile.
-Cons: Not all sidetechs are optional (sometimes they are a must), not good for proactive gamestyle, slower and more expensive to unlock all the abilities.
Final words:
If this design has not been changed its because its meant to be this way.
Instead of mental gimnastics lets set up an even common ground.
High level matches often repeat opening builds and this hurts more allied than axis but also allows allied to take riskier strategies to get higher rewards.
To say "axis get stuff for free with teching" or "allied sidetech is a must" are simply fallacies. |
I think most people here think that raketen should be 5 man w/o retreat or 4 with it.
Also about falls, they were asked bo receive a buff for a very long time, probably its new lethality will justify a nerf on them and we will see it next patch |
Why you are always comparing RM vs Volks?
What about RM vs Grens?
RM vs Grens prepatch difference was big, but now in this patch is even worst. They absolute rape Grens.
Grens should rely on HMG42 to stop riflemen. IMO its fine if grens cant stand their ground against RM |
IMHO if a thread reaches a certain amount of BS it should be closed, otherwise toxic and unproductive balance discussion take ages and endless amounts of posts.
By BS i mean, biased, unproved and made up facts, personal accusations, uneven comparatives and extreme cherrypicking. Note i didnt mentioned L2P, since this is still a place to know the units true potential. |
Let's remove their rifles too, they can get a stock mobile machine gun for cheap 60 mini, it is OP |
