Veteran Squad Leaders could change the Grenadier Symbol to this one: I remade it to match the CoH2 symbol better. It was used in CoH1 for Volksgrenadiers, but I think it was switched around with Grenadiers because it depicts a higher rank. In: Lobby
Thread: Conscripts need to be cheaper5 Dec 2018, 18:32 PM My suggestion is that the Anti-tank grenade research also lowers conscript cost by a bit, like 220/18 per. That tech is mostly only gotten if you're using cons heavily anyway. To make PPSh cons less of a no-brainer, the lower cost could be mutually exclusive with the PPSh upgrade. The implementation of the lower cost could be an upgrade that costs -20 manpower and lowers reinforce cost by 10%. In: COH2 Balance

UKF is the most broken and busted faction in the whole game, there is no comparison even, UKF in 1V1? You can even see how people you have never known or some decently ranked players just "happen" to crack top 50 with brits... Brits are much easier to be higher rank in because they have a much smaller player base. Rank is only relative to the other players in the faction. That also means that the faction's win rate is not taken into account. Brits 1v1 are bad. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Why is OKW arty officer even a thing?29 Nov 2018, 20:56 PM The Sturmofficer is one of the main reasons I wanted to see Breakthrough Doctrine reworked. I've noticed other officers being changed to provide benefits to one squad only, or everyone on the map. Both are good ways to avoid blobbing. On the other hand, there are already penalties associated with the blob in that everyone retreats if the officer is killed. That's a pretty clever solution that gives a clear counterplay option. And like Sander said, the bonus is not great. Overall, the unit isn't too imbalanced; it's just awkward. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Pyrotechnics Supplies UI27 Nov 2018, 18:42 PM The UI change applied to Infantry Sections by the Pyrotechnics Supplies upgrade doesn't make sense. It adds 2 diamonds, the symbol of a leftenant. Seems to me this was left over from older versions of the game, since the upgrade as it is now has nothing to do with officers. My recommendation is to change the symbol to the currently-unused Binoculars version of the symbol. That also reflects the better sight radius the upgrade grants. The name could also be changed to "Observation Supplies", which makes sense for both parts of the upgrade. Yes, I know this is minor. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: USF Tech Changes Mod Changelog20 Nov 2018, 20:38 PM I think the fuel cost reshuffling in 1.1 is a step backward if the intent was to give the USF easier access to MGs and AT guns at the same time. That's why I recommended removing the second free officer: because the fuel price needs to be too high in order to make it fair. Also: It would be nice if someone could post how many CPs other factions get from teching, because I certainly don't know the details. That, or I'll look it up and post it later. Thread: Weapon upgrades for standard infatry squads20 Nov 2018, 05:16 AM I think adding a weapon upgrade to conscripts would hurt diversity. However, it would be nice if they got a little buff. Maybe once AT Grenades are researched, conscripts could upgrade to lower their reinforcement cost a bit. It would be mutually exclusive with the PPSh upgrade. Most of my problem with "Penal Battalions" is the name. It's a Squad, not a Battalion. Historically, it's silly to have so many of them and it's silly for them to have better equipment and training than normal troops. I'd prefer they were replaced with a "Frontoviki Squad" or something similar. Then, Penal Troops could appear in a doctrine as cannon fodder, like in AEgion's mod. In: COH2 Balance
