What do you guys think the strongest faction is at the moment? I am primarily a 2v2 player (~rank 50 currently with Brits and USF) although I will admit lately my axis ranks have been struggling.

Soviets: Extremely strong (potentially strongest faction) when used correctly and also relatively easy to play. Many viable strategies with cons, t1, t2, or any combination thereof. Not as punishing for mistakes with 6 man squads and very powerful lategame abilities and artillery/kats.

Ostheer: Potentially very strong but also very hard to use. They remind me of terran in sc2 in that they are extremely strong if used correctly but all but the best players aren't really able to use them to their full potential. I find myself struggling to do well, especially against late game allied infantry/TD and arty. I think ostheer is probably the faction that gets punished most for mistakes and in many cases 1 mistake can cost you the game.

OKW: Not as much potential as ostheer but also requires nowhere near as much micro. Not as punishing when you make a mistake so in many cases ends up being stronger. Can often bully other factions in the early game and snowball to a victory but is also extremely vulnerable to certain strategies like mg spam and snipers. Raketenwerfers can also be hard to use.

USF: Another extremely strong faction (can't decide if Soviets or USF is strongest atm). Not as much diversity as the soviets but makes up for it with the best mainline infantry in the game as well as the best TD (Jackson). Priest is almost impossible to counter vs a competent player and Pershing is also strong if used correctly.

Brits: Meh. My favorite faction but I feel like lately they have been pretty weak. Doesn't really have much going for it atm with pretty much its whole roster having been nerfed over the last couple of patches. Churchill is great and sections are still pretty good with double brens. Like OKW, they are very vulnerable to certain strategies (mostly indirect). I feel like Brits have the potential to be strong in more of a supporting role with a good teammate.

Ranking all the factions from strongest to weakest, imo it would be:

Soviets=USF>OKW>Ostheer>>Brits

In the hands of a top player with better micro than myself, Ostheer is probably one of the stronger factions but for everyone else this is my ranking.

Personally I like mg34 better than maxim. Better suppression and when I build an mg I want suppression not DPS (better vet ability too).

On topic: Not sure how I feel about okw right now. I think they are more powerful than ostheer but at the same time much more vulnerable to certain strategies (like mg spam as mentioned). They can easily snowball with their strong early game but late game volks are pretty meh vs double brens, double bars, and guards.

I have been using obers more lately which are very effective with veterancy but are sometimes hard to keep alive. JP4 is also a must imo because of the strong TD options for the allies.

Now that you guys mention it a speed nerf is probably a better idea than a pen nerf. Like lago said it could be too early to tell but I have a feeling that it is still probably too good

Jackson isn't even the go to counter Pz4 like it was before, two Stugs will keep the Jackson at bay. You are the one claiming the Jackson overperforms, but bring nothing to argument it. Please tell us how it is overperforming.
Does it counter its own counter?
Does it insta kill its targets?

Jackson is simply too effective compared to other TD's like the su85, firefly, and stug. USF doesn't need a crutch like this as they already have one of the strongest rosters in the game. Has some of the best mobility among the tank destroyers, fast turret rotation, fantastic scaling and vet 1 ability, self repair, and can be decrewed when not being used.

I also don't really see how stating double stug can counter the Jackson is relevant when 2 stugs are more expensive, much harder to use due to there being 2 of them and having no turret, as well as being significantly outranged.

Many people are still in the mindset of USF having a weak late game when this is really not the case any longer imo. I feel like you guys are making this out to be like I am asking for some huge nerf or something. This is just a suggestion and perhaps something that could be experimented with for the next patch.

I am not looking for advice on how to counter Jacksons. Of course paks and pgrens are effective counters, but it doesn't change the fact that it is overperforming. Jackson is too good against OKW as well, although the jp4 can definitely go toe to toe better than the stug can.

USF doesn't deserve to have both the best mainline infantry in the game as well as the best TD. I am not even asking for a large nerf here. Like I said I think a small pen nerf at far range is all it needs. It can easily be made up for by using HVAP rounds, an underrated ability which I often see players neglect.
