The M10 would be the adequate TD that is cheap and might require flanking but can generally hold the line, like in CoH1. The M36 would then be the doctrinal heavy TD with performance similar to what it has now, to counter an opponent who invests in heavy vehicles.
While USF's need for a great TD to compensate gaps in the faction line up is certainly a good point, there's no denying that the Jackson is still too good at too many things right now. |
You can't simply swap the M10 for the M36 as it doesn't have the firepower needed to fight heavy tanks and USF's other nondoc tank is the 75mm Sherman.
Stats can be buffed you know. The CoH1 USF did fine with M10s and without an OP TD while having the same lineup of vehicles. Except in CoH1 the USF actually had to make an effort to overrun German heavy armor instead of just kiting it at max range.
Though I would rather see the M10 being an Su-76 type of light TD.
But we digress. |
What is OKW gonna do against enemy infantry with Volks without weapon upgrade, Sturmpioneers with MP40s and Obers without LMG? Politely ask them to leave? Removing literally all their standard AI seems a bit too much.
Also what OKW could really use is a proper Panzershreck squad to counter the onslaught of late game Allied TDs. |
Accuracy for infantry squads is always good, because that increases their damage output. It's also worth to mention that a unit which you are supposed to build several units or use through the whole game, benefits from having bulletins way more than a single or few units which might be use sparely.
Sure, but I just can't imagine a 3% reload bonus is going to make any significant difference in engagements at all. If someone has the numbers to prove that it actually does I'll be happy to change my mind. |
Are the 2-3% reload/cooldown/acc/pen/armor even remotely worth it?
At first glance I'd much rather choose bulletins like the 10% veterancy bonus ones or faster barrage reload etc because those seem to yield much more significant results. |
Problem is that the info on who won is not in the replay file (that is, unless one of the player surrenders). Adding that would mean that I have to cross-correlate the replay files with the data in the player history database, which would be a lot of manual work. So, sorry, I won't do that.
Ah right, that's understandable then. Too bad. Will wait for GCS2 results. |
i brought jackson cuz i want to show you the developer's way of patch. (units should be combined with other units, shouldn't be perform alone well.)
The Jackson's view range was nerfed because its selfspotting ability was one of many traits that made it overperform, not because it better fits the balance team's vision.
A tier 4 heavy TD is completely incomparable to a tier 2-3 light recon vehicle. The Puma is very fragile and situational and it needs something good in order to perform adequately. Nerfing its selfspotting would require buffs like higher accuracy or penetration. |
I would gladly take a sight nerf of it for a huge accuracy buff, which that thing desperately needs.
Yes please |
Could you add another statistic that shows the win/loss rate per commander? Low sample size and lots of factors would make it pretty unreliable but it would be interesting to see an indication of the effectiveness of commanders.
Because for example personally I don't think Luftwaffe gives any major advantages, as opposed to Spec Ops that gives an emergency tech-less Panther. Personally I also really like Elite Armor because the HEAT shells dramatically increase the performance of the Panzer IV, giving much better mid-game. |
How we came from a patch to coh3?
Yes but Andy said the announcement will be a patch. Nothing about aoe4 or coh3. I just can say wait until relic will tell it out, it will be a great patch!
