Well he isn't completely wrong, 76 games (and even less players) is still an insignificant amount as a sample for a game that has so many factors contributing to wins/losses.
Great casts AE, very enjoyable as always.
Only real feedback I could give is to try to upload the videos to YouTube in chronological order so the videos overview will look much more organized, which would help people find the next video better and would give it a more professional look.
222's MG on top fires at planes. Not its main cannon.
No, it engages planes with its autocannon. The coaxial MG doesn't fire.
Which does make sense, given that the 222's autocannon was based on a Flak AA cannon and had good enough elevation to target aircraft.
Mobile Defense is an interesting case. It can make players win because it can counter the mid game light vehicle meta but it also makes players lose just as well lots of times because they just get caught up calling in endless amounts of Pumas and CP4s in the late game instead of teching up. Seen this countless of times in last month's replays.
It's getting pretty boring to see it picked nearly every game though. Let's hope for a Summer patch that will bring more meta variety.
A garrison doesn't fire back with high squad-wiping potential and light vehicle damage.
It could work for mortars and 17 pounders (still has the same cost-efficiency problem though) but definitely not for the Bofors because of its self-defense potential.
So Brits can just spam cheap-ass emplacements, fill them with some cheap engineers and once the enemy finally succeeds in almost bringing it down after a big investment in counters the squad can just evacuate and all that is lost is like 70mp and 30fu for a Bofors emplacement. It would be way too cost-effective.
This wouldn't add up on resource costs and population cap. When an emplacement is about to go down the squad could just evacuate and only the very reduced build cost would be lost. This would cancel the emplacement mechanic (high performance to cost ratio but vulnerable to counter play because it's static) and would probably just make them spamable. When the Brit player is popcapped he could just keep building empty emplacements as fall-back secondary defenses.
The OKW AA emplacement doesn´t shoot down planes either AFAIK
Only the base AA emplacements do not engage aircraft, because they are free and that gave OKW an unfair advantage. The Luftwaffe doctrinal Flak emplacements do engage aircraft.
So can anyone confirm whether this is a bug or an intended feature?
Can't imagine it's supposed to be a feature tbh as it wouldn't make sense to have this kind of inbalance.
They are so strong and potent with brens, the replay section is bloated with them being used in that way.
Units can be very strong without being meta. For example infrared STG44 Obers are incredibly good because on top of their high DPS they ignore cover, and yet they are rarely used.
