You do know that a small sample size of games with a select group of people indicates very little?
Its very possible that certain people within that select group synergyze better with certain factions, if that happens to be more with allies..
So you think a bunch of completely randomized matches with all sorts of skill levels, the majority of which are far below what should be used as components to evaluate balance is a better way of determining balance issues, than a tournament of high skilled players effectively playing in controlled settings of multiple matches on the same map over and over and each team switching factions every match...?
Interesting logic. |
You know you can take OP seriously when they post multiple threads that are Nerf Allies/Buff Axis.
What was the win ratio of allies to axis in the 4v4 tourney? What was the win ratio of allies to axis in the last 1v1 tourney (particularly the final)? |
|
It's funny that Sturmpanther made this poll during a game in the 4v4 tourney bascially like a joke because it was extremely clear that Scotts were OP as fuk and now the poll runs and people want them even more powerful.
What was the win ratio of Allies vs Axis in that tourney?
Oh yeah, like 80% in favor of Allies.

The 1vs1 is true, don`t know about the 4vs4 tourney(would apreciate a link to it,big fan of casted matches).
In the Inka tourney I watched all 11 matches this weekend and it was 10 wins for Allies, 1 for Axis.
The previous round had 4 Axis wins if I recall and the rest Allies. |
Check mach stats. Axis still distinctly dominate team games. And between most picket commanders is no one with this abillity.
All thread is build on feelings (mostly axis only players).
RintFosk and vgfgff in tests proved, that is not a problem leave circle (even ramed JT).
Stats in automatch for randoms gives garbage data on balance, all you can do is judge what types level of skill tends to pick which faction more.
You have to look at data for balanced matches at high level play.
Let's do that:
Last 1v1 tourney had Allies winning 100% in the final.
Currently Allies are winning at 90% in the 4v4 tourney.
Does that tell you anything? I'm sure it wont. |

This ability is massively more powerful than skillplanes.
It drops more crap, they arrive in a constant barrage, it arrives faster it deals far more damage overall than P47 Rockets, Stuka CAS or Typhoon Rockets, and I believe it's cheaper as well. And unlike skillplanes, you cannot counter it with a unit (AA).
But Axis OP so maybe it should be buffed. |

They are the worst engineer squad in the game in terms of combat ability, sov engies are far more powerful in that regard and cheaper. Ost pios are decent at close range in the beginning, get very good combat ability similar to sov engies with non doc flame thrower. Zook REs are no equivalent at all to flame throwers which require no tech, flamers are meta, bazooka is not (and requires teching) and rarely show up until mid or late when floating muni.
Why are REs 200? Please don't say because they build tank traps fast. That is not significant when compared to their crap combat ability. |

Is anything happening with the servers for the US? I'm on the East Coast of the US and my lag issues are really bad now, it's 70-100ms at the top a lot, which is really close to going to the Europe server, lag input is like 5 seconds, sometimes gets longer and longer. |
the elo is superbroken, but never lost ranks when winning
If you watch twitch streams, there have been many times were the streamer loses a match and they get the "promotion" notification at the end (wouldn't this donate rise in ladder?). |
|
Can someone explain to me how this is possible?
Match 1, win
Everyone on my team was around my rank Ost (682) so 700-1000 rank players
The opponent team was all higher ladder rank, between 200 and 400.
With this win I LOST 30 places in the ladder to 712.
I then played another match, won that one.
The opponent team was farther down the ladder rank, in the 1500-2500 rank area.
With this win I LOST another 2 places to 734.
The third match was also a win.
The opponent team was a mish mash of people that only play arranged teams, they had no ranks.
With this win I lost another 2 places to 736.
This makes no sense to me, other than people climbing a head of me, this could explain the 2 last ones, but the largest loss in ladder rank was the first match, which was against much higher ladder rank players.
The only reason I really care about this is when you ladder rank this low, you lose about 70% of matches due to people rage quitting on your team in the first couple of minutes. Once around 400-ish on the ladder the teams are mostly not retarded. |
