Thread: CoH2 Menu - Twitch Section Improvement21 Jul 2013, 23:10 PM I really wonder if anyone would even make a big deal of this if Hans wasn't the one to suggest it, instead of just having a nejerk reaction in opposition, or applying the "rich banker" or fairness/equality mentality. If the goal is to promote the GAME, then popular streams should probably get precedence. If the goal is to support NEW STREAMERS, then the streams starting with 0 viewers should get precedence. I'm pretty sure I could guess what relic's goal in having the list up there is. Since streamers with more viewers have them for good reasons (most of the time), who do you think will be a better promotional tool for the game and growing the community? It wouldn't hurt to have a link below the short list for "more streams" either. This is not the only game to do things this way with live streams, and it's a smart idea. In: Lobby
Thread: Flanking german mg42 crews - Video18 Jul 2013, 23:34 PM Ya, the conscript squad was poorly microed by moving them too much and too far past the mg almost every time. Subsequently I don't think this proves anything. However, my only problem with how this turned out is... why the hell did the conscript squad start suffering from the cold while being forced to do all that running back and forth ? clearly unrealistic In: COH2 Balance

Most of the time I spent trying to find my own units on the screen somewhere right in front of me. There was this one time though I sent my first pioneer to cap it's third point in the start of a game and all 4 died to a single soviet mine without having fired one shot. that does stick out in my memory. I don't remember much else except a vague but overwhelming sense of boredom, sorry. In: COH2 Gameplay

I don't know much about it, but I would think having a "hold position" command that disabled unit/squad movement for any reason until given another order would seriously improve things and not be as hard to implement as "fixing" the whole issue with squads dancing and looking for cover etc. at the worst times. It might even add a bit of rewarding micro to this game which I had the opinion was seriously unrewarding and lacking. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: (Auto) vaulting13 Jul 2013, 04:04 AM Pretty sure vaulting was primarily added to the game for one of those "new" things and marketing it. I really doubt APM and skill caps was even a consideration, so I think you may be reading too much into that. ntm... injects, chrono boosts, and mule drops are way more in depth abilities... inject/transfuse/creep, chrono any building for unit or upgrading, scan/supply drop/MULE and all the ways which decision you make impacts much more than just an apm requirement of economy control. So I do not think that is the greatest example to compare to clicking on a fence with one squad selected. APM of auto-vaulting would be a mixed bag anyway. Consider if you wanted to flank an mg, but just giving a move order to the side of the mg meant your unit vaulted a fence and ran strait into its cone of fire. In order to avoid that, it would require shift clicking to take a route around which would otherwise have been accomplished with one move command if the route would have naturally taken that squad the way you wanted it to go. Another thing to consider is that routes that are technically shorter by vaulting may not actually be faster anyway considering the slower movement in heavy snow mechanic, which, correct me if I may be wrong, typically gathers in these locations anyway, from what I remember. As I said though, they probably just want you to think of how cool they were for putting such an awesome new thing their game every time you click on a fence. lol In: COH2 Gameplay
