Thread: Changes to Wehrmacht's Storm commander5 Sep 2019, 14:36 PM Because Stormtroopers in their role as infiltration units would fit to the theme imo. You could also replace the Riegel with Assgrens or the OKW Sturmoffizier, units that would make a lot of sense too from a theme and design perspective. In: COH2 Balance

They are somewhat weaker vs light tanks like a T70 or AEC, but medium or heavy tanks are dead af if they hit a riegel mine. I dont doubt that the RIEGEL mine is useful but the ability doesnt fit to the theme, thats for sure. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Changes to Wehrmacht's Storm commander5 Sep 2019, 09:42 AM HI guys, as some of the commanders are getting tweaked in the new patch i would like to see some changes to the Wehrmacht's Storm commander. Why are changes necessary? Well, i think "Storm" should support an aggressive and mobile playstyle, as the name of the doctrine tells. Lets have a look at the current load out: 1CP - Ambush Camo 2CP - Half-track Riegel Anti-tank Mine 4CP - Smoke Drop 8CP - LEFH 18 Artillery 12CP - Stuka Bombing Strike I guess everybody will agree that the RIEGEL mine doesnt fit at all to the theme. Thats why i would suggest to replace the RIEGEL with Stormtroopers or Assgrens. Both units would fit very good to the theme and would give the doctrine some early game punch. The rest of the doctrine could stay although i personally prefer abilities like "Hold and Assault" or "Valiant assault" over the Stuka Bombing Strike. What do you think? In: COH2 Balance

The earlier timing had the potential to make Feuersturm a viable commander. Unlike the Ostwind (which definitely should stay behind Panzer Authorization no matter what) the Flame Hetzer has no AT capabilities at all. All three opposing factions have an AT light vehicle that can fight it when it hits the field. +1 totally agree with this post. A possible way to achieve the goal of earlier Obers AND a better timing for the Hetzer could be created through a sidetech option for the Hetzer. OKW players had to 1. build the Schwere Panzer Headquarters 2. Side tech for the Hetzer (like for AEC/Bofor) to be available, tech could cost up to 25 fuel. Sidetech option could solve the issue of earlier Obers OR earlier Hetzer. In: COH2 Balance

The new veterancy requirements will help it perform beyond its initial shock window, because it gets good veterancy bonuses. Putting it at 80 fuel was really pushing its shock power, but ultimately we felt that Obers needed to come a little bit sooner and that it wasn't worth putting the Schwerer at 80 fuel just for the Hetzer, that people would maybe use in 1/10-1/20 matches, compared to Obers that might be used almost every match now. I acknowledge this argumentation, obers should have priority, thanks for the reply. In: COH2 Balance

Making t2 cheaper is also a good move and will show good synergy with the changes to the 251. All in all Wehrmacht changes were really good in the last patches,i like the faction more than ever. Commando panther is tied to tech, why do you say its untouched? Btw i dont have any intention to start an argument about my ülay with okw, if u think that im bad - fine. Regarding 1.3: - changes to pfussies are welcome, esspecially the lower upgrade costs -assault artillery seems finally to be usefull, looking forward to use breakthrough commander -not so sure if the changes to falls are necessary, please keep an eye on the unit -last but not least a change that i really dislike: putting the hetzer behind panzer author. will kill this unit, it just dont have no window of opp. Why not increase fuel cost (+20) but making it available in the first stage of the schwere?
