From what I've seen (and played ) things are shaping up really well for CoH3. The core gameplay loops are clearly better and more fun especially that it feels more like CoH1 in both MP and SP. Also, the involvement of the community from Day1 onwards did shape things in the best way possible; you guys can't imagine how much things have changed for the better through internal decisions and discussions.
Finally the awful sprint nerf to Assgrens is taken back. Its much better to increase the mun cost for sprint.
That being said I don't understand the multiple buffs for Brits at all. The faction is pretty strong in teamgames not so much in 1v1. So what?
I really dislike that the 1v1 camarilla still dominates the balancing so much although 1v1 is the least popular game mode. In CoH3 this will hopefully change.
I'm actually surprised no one is talking about it so far(or at least in its own thread).
I consider this absolutely amazing feature, gives you ability to customize and specialize further even your basic units to tailor them to your playstyle and it has PE vet vibes, which I do appreciate.
The Black Prince was only a prototype - so what? The Brits have not nearly as much to offer as other factions in terms of different vehicles. Using the Black Prince is an elegant way to give them another attractive tool.
The ST and JT also were only build in very low numbers and both units were considered failed constructions. But both units were used in CoH2 and nobody cared. Relic should use every option to make the factions as interesting as possible, that's my opinion.
if you want to laugh a lot watch this replay. The ST had 71 kills in this game in roughly 20 min of action St arrives at 19:20
And at the end you can see a REAL SKILL SHOT
In a Forum with too many hot takes on complex subjets the op is a very welcome difference because MMX put a lot of thought and time in it!
Well done, Buddy!
My 2 cents About it:
A lot of the most important things was already posted. I just think that we should consider more that saving fuel / mp for heavies does not allow you to build other Units / tanks. That's why heavies need to deliver because there is no point in waiting if the unit does not have a considerable impact.
I know this is an unpoluar opinion but I think that the performance of the heavies was not the problem in the past but the early timing. I
Unbuff Ostruppen. Nerf Jaeger Infantry Doctrine. (Why does "Jaeger" "Infantry" has Stuka CAS? replace that with something less impactful. Counterattack Tactics maybe? This is genuinely the only Doctrine in the game with 5 highly impactful abilities and that's silly.)
Ambush Camouflage and G43 package are sureley not "highly impactful abilities".
Without CAS the Doctrine is mediocre and will not be used anymore.
