I think it will become too oppressive after these changes. If Axis tank destroying capabilities need to be buffed then perhaps buffing the JP4 and the Stug might be a better route. Something like, higher pen for the JP4 and 60 range for the Stug. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: [Winter Balance Update] SOV Feedback27 Nov 2020, 16:49 PM I don't like the vet 1 T34 ram ideas. Giving a unit a suicide ability for vet 1 seems to go against game design. I would like to see them to replaced by different abilities. t34/76 smoke shell: speed abilities seem like an axis thing so i would propose ot gets a smoke shell like the Cromwell T34/85 radio net: A radio net like the Sherman seems a good fit for the 85, if not smoke would also work. With propper testing and tweaking i see no reason why this wont work. Besides the 6 tweaked PPSH package is not strictly speaking a buff but more of a rework. How would you buff the PPSH package? Also Volks upgrade gives them utility instead of removing it. Quite an interesting logic of buffing something by nerfing it Well in my idea it would be +quicker vet +cheaper price for 45muni +6 tweaked PPSH for better synergy and conistency then 3 mosin (around Volk level) +smoke grenade - Sprint (one could also argue for leaveing the sprint there and not giving them smokes) It think this would be a buff overall. If the upgrade is given the proper stats/costs i don't think this would be a problem. It would even force a certain degree of infantry diversification on the player to keep all abilities. I think this could be done by giving the cons 6 ppsh and tweaking the ppsh to match volk mp40 performance. I have only skimmed this tread yet but it seems that people are resistant to this idea. From some limited tests they seemed to be able to beat vetted MP40 Volks reliably in a straight-up 1v1.
