Thread: General 2v2 Advice11 May 2018, 03:21 AM The main match up in 2v2 is OKW/Wher vs USF/UKF or Soviet/UKF Early game is OKW and USF going for the standard 5 rifleman into T2 for AT guns or light vehicles The Wher/UKF tend to be the support players (mortar battles and MG's) Mid game is mainly about setting up a forward retreat point, this is why USF goes for the rifleman play rather than mortars. OKW have a forward retreat point too with their truck. Late game is allied favored for tank battles (hard to beat a well micro'd firefly) but axis favored for artillery It's 100% worth it to build fuel caches, because it's a shared resource for you and your teammate. Thread: Support weapons and their identity in COH10 May 2018, 08:14 AM I recently had an idea with support weapons and the whole issue with players complaining about blobbing. Global changes to support weapons is needed. Damage decrease by 40% (damage given and damage taken) Speed increase (movement, pack up/set up, construction, rotation speed, garrison set up, reload) Accuracy increased: machine guns steadily hurt troops, even when they are pinned mortars will hurt blobs more than spread out units at guns will always penetrate targets (vehicles only), but are harder to kill British/OKW truck emplacements when destroyed: 1/4 engineer squad with corresponding support weapon that automatically retreats to base. (Bofors only 1/4 engineer squad) British emplacements are also effected by prior changes (less damage dealt and less damage taken) No more mortar on mortar wars Blobbing is harder to do No more "random" wipes In: Strategy Desk
Thread: Noob question: How to counter early axis MG spam?13 Jan 2017, 22:11 PM Weird how in COH it was Axis being the hardest to play, now we're in COH2 and people say Axis are easiest to play lol Your best bet would be watch your own replay and see what you yourself could have done better. Then finally as a final crutch see what the pro's are doing. Learn from replays, but don't get sucked into them, eventually you'll hit 300-500 hours and enjoy how much fun it is putting hard work into an RTS. In: Strategy Desk

The 222 is essentially the counter to T1 starts (penals and snipers) To be competent in the mid-late game all you really need is 1-2 penal with a flamer on it and conscripts to meatshield. Now that you have more conscripts you can AT nade, and support your at gun better. If you pre-made the AT gun expecting 222's but don't see any, oh well you can still barrage MG's and destroy cover or recap points with it In: Red Army Strategies
