(on the other hand, usf mortar is not blocked by sight blocker so i suggest to veto the Stalingrad V2 map until balance is better, allowing us to win without sniper). In: COH2 Gameplay

Conscripts are fine in the current state, because you don't manage to make them win engagement doesn't mean they need a buff. their only downside is the 50 fuel package you got to buy to get AT nade & molov. But on the other hand, they are the most versatile unit in game, most durable (6 men) for their price and got awesome features (merge & trip wire). I won't even speak about the commanders which promote cons like the one which give them AT rifle, AT nade & AT mines or rapid conscription ... Btw, they were not nerfed. Relic reduced long range damage and increased at close which is what they are intended to do. That must be one of the few things RELIC did well. In: Red Army Strategies

And damn it is working. No more than 3000 players online average while it used to be 6000-7000+. damn, you are right ! i was thinking relic would be interested in more people -> sell more skins, commanders and dlc -> more $. But the fact show us they are doing nothing to keep it up, and they could very well have think "let's make of this game a big mess to spend less in server rent". This is even more possible knowing how much data relic server send and receive for each player which makes them quite expensive. (more data means more CPU intensiv means a shit load of money to rent these server). Do they realize that it's a short term vision ? thought SEGA would have undesrtood that with their shitty dlc politic which made them loose a lot of players (and get a lot of negative reviews on games ) at least, other companies like blizzard (just an exemple) understood it very well and are now making more money than the others will never do. This could have been easily dealt with by a hotfix. The US mortar should be in line with the other factions mortars. Ostheer Panther should get the OKW Panther stats. And Brens and Bars should be limited to one per squad. See how it goes from there. A real patch could then fix all other issues such as underperforming doctrines, Maximspam etc. Agree on everything. It looks like everyone knows what need to be fixed right now, but not relic so people are going to say "balance is not so easy, need time and test and ...". just fuck off. Skins are more 'tested' than balance patch if i remember correctly, in 2013 when there was all these hype about coh2, relic promised us 5 full years of support and patch. Does someone remember it also or maybe it's just my memory ? if it's true, then it's called a scam and i would never buy anything anymore from a scammer company like RELIC (SEGA). In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Any news on possible upcoming balance patch?20 Nov 2016, 14:59 PM Jump back to quoted post20 Nov 2016, 14:49 PMZombiFrancis Making actual changes to the final game code is a little bit more convoluted. well, you are wrong, everything is located in a simple dll. the one which set stats (like usf mortar aoe), if i remember correctly is attributes.dll which can be opened and modified by relic as easily as we do for mods. the only difference is that there is an encrypt/decrypt key to make sure people can't modify it by themselves. in fact, the only change in the coh 2 directory if there was a patch on usf mortar would be this file (a few MB) and would be done in a few minutes. Btw, it took me 15 min, because i had to read a tutorial on how to use it first. In: COH2 Balance

Kyle has done GREAT things for COH2 and nobody can deny it : ESL - WPC - Using community mod to balance and on the other hand, Relic (not sure if it's kyle fault) has fcked up VERY HARD on other things : USF mortar bugged for at least a month before a hotfix goes out Everyone agree that USF mortar is OP but still nothing done since months. Do you have an idea how long it took me to get inside coh2 database and adjust USF 81 mm mortar AOE and rate of fire ? less than 10 min. i don't have studies in computers or anything, i just needed 15 min to learn how to use mod tool and fix usf mortar. So the question is : Why isn't it already fixed ? Why the hell, with no knowledge in game programming, with a hard work (~10hrs/day) i can still make better than RELIC ? Swiftsabre : i tried to avoid Flamming/Trolling. Please don't remove it. if needed, just send me a pm and i will immediately remove/rewritte the 'flamming' part. In: COH2 Balance

In german (and i guess it is the same with the french, italian, russian, ectpp version) all maps have a "$NoKey"-command. So they were too lazy (or stupide?) to put the map names into all localisation files... Relic... As a french user, i confirm it is written $$NOKEY$$ followed by some randomn number for map name and description but maps still work perfectly. In: COH2 Balance
