Rear Echelons, Officer Squad Members: 25 Riflemen, Paratroopers, Weapon Teams: 28 Rangers, Engineers, Vehicle Crews: 33 Pathfinders: 37 Major: 40 LT, Cap: 50 it's not as simple as that btw, when your gren fight against a rifleman squad they often loose models and need to get reinforced. A sniper doesn't loose models, so i'd say that after having killed for 200 mp of ennemy models, your sniper is effective. And yeah i agree that micro is a counter to mortar, but gren are mostly effective at long range behind a cover -> get insta killed by mortar. if you try to always keep mooving them, their accuracy is shit and riflemen squad still wreck them. (unless you got osttrupen). you already bleed like crazy against usf, if you reinforce your squad from halftrack -> no heal -> bleed more. imo, use it against maxim spammer and/or with osttrupen (which don't need heal) but otherwise it's garbage. Thread: 2v2 as Axis vs Brits24 Nov 2016, 18:29 PM to deal with brits emplacement cancer, one of you go for osther, make 2 mortar (480 mp) and one reinforcement halftrack (200 MP + 30 Fuel). attack the mortar pit first with two mortar and halftrack in the back to reinforce if needed. This counter easily mortar pit & bofor and cost almost the same price than it. same against soviet 120 mm mortar spam + maxim. In: Strategy Desk
