Thread: Teamgames25 Jan 2021, 12:20 PM How is calliope OP if you take everything in the context? It has been nerfed already. It is the most expensive rocket arty in the game, needs a doctrine to be picked and is almost the entire reason why the doctrines exist in the first place. With the indirect fire nerfs that USF will have next patch, USF will already be in a really bad state and calliope will be pretty much used alot more to fill the gap of having no reliable blob handling unit. Btw, panzerwerfer which is a unit you don't need to pick a doctrine for is getting a low angle barrage ability which has almost the same wipe potential as calliope has in the next patch In: COH2 Balance
Thread: [Winter Balance Update] SOV Feedback9 Jan 2021, 10:51 AM Grens are indeed really good infrantry, they are not weak by any means. The MG42 should be moved to T1 and grens back to T0. If you're playing versus someone who knows how to use the MG42 aggressively instead of it sitting idle in some building or protecting some cutoff, it is pretty OP In: COH2 Balance

In short: Howie power was nerfed to match its price so it doesn't need to be cheaper. The pak howitzer/scott was a substitute for the fact that USF is missing stock rocket arty units. How was it more OP than the stock axis rocket arty that can wipe squads with single barrage? Now that these units are useless, in team games especially, USF team game late game will be hopeless. "Balancing" units to the point they are rendered useless is a job being done poorly. In: COH2 Balance

I think the unit will be not worth the cost since it is pretty expensive and pretty much useless after the patch. The 6th man doesn't make sense really since the unit itself will be pretty useless. What E8 lacks is proper army support. Lacking in rockey artillery to blast paks/rakaten/pak88s, so E8 can have a better chance against panthers. A fix for this would be to buff officers capabilities through its doctrine. Have an ability to buff major's direct combat. Buff it to 6man with body guards, turn him into a capable squad with quick barrage to counter set up teams and a heavy 105mm barrage that can reliably take out pak88s and field guns The doctrine is bad and hangs on E8 to carry it late game. Which E8 is absolutely incapable of doing, again, because panthers can stop dead an E8 push. E8 may look decent against panthers on paper but throw in support teams, infantry support on both sides. Its far riskier and much more difficult to pull off a victory for USF. Yeah and they still kept nerfing scotts\pak howitzers even when USF has no stock rocket arty option In: COH2 Balance
Thread: USA September patch discussion21 Aug 2019, 16:11 PM Sander, no offence, but I have a feeling you have never played against a kubel spam judging by your response with USF and why can't you give a buff to vet1 riflemen and nerf the vet2 buff to balance it out when you see the weak performance of the USF early game? I think the patch nerfed USF more than it got buffed, especially the things that got nerfed were more common in team games, where USF is already lackluster. Thread: Why USF so bad in tournaments?14 Aug 2019, 13:37 PM Yeah, avoid playing USF in teamgames, I have been playing only UKF/SOV when I'm playing allies, especially in 3v3s or 4v4s... I agree, riflemen is kinda good in some situations, but when facing OKW build with 4 volks and a SP while you just have 3 RM and a RE squad is really hard to handle and it just snowballs from there most of the times and the officers are not even that good, I think the officers should be optional unit to build because of the massive MP bleed, I would rather get mgs as it can hold the front and don't bleed much vs a officer, that would fix a good chunk of the USF problem.
