Thread: Re-balance Allied TDs penetration values24 Oct 2019, 15:25 PM The Firefly needs a rework. It's balanced around Tulips and that just doesn't hold up these days. The Jackson and SU-85 are harder: the Jackson is all but flat out better, but they're both products of their faction designs. The SU-85 is balanced against a pair of SU-76s much like a Panther is balanced against two StuGs, whereas the Jackson is this anti-everything-with-wheels monstrousity because it has to be. Thread: Replace the Bulldozer Attachment with the 10523 Oct 2019, 16:05 PM Jump back to quoted post23 Oct 2019, 15:57 PMSander93 I don't think they overlap at all, the 105mm is a pure anti-infantry tank that's pretty late game due to role, timing and cost, while the dozer M4A3 Sherman is a buffed up medium tank that's a great unit to get out early, because at that point (late mid / early late game) you usually need something that can force off infantry but can also potentially hold back Panzer IVs or Ostwinds, and making your generalist medium more durable is very nice. That's the point of the Easy Eight and the 76mm though. They're premium medium tanks that take down enemy mediums but give up their HE to do so. The Bulldozer Attachment lets the Sherman reliably take down other mediums without giving up the devasting HE shells. The Urban Assault Variant even gets AT gun killing white phosphorus. How are the 105mm, 76mm and Easy Eight meant to compete with that? In: COH2 Balance

It's a standard Sherman with that toggles between standard rounds and HVAP instead of standard rounds and HE. I use it all the time when I play Soviet. It fits amazingly into their T4. In USF it's has stronger competition from the Bulldozer 75, but it's still an excellent unit. In: COH2 Balance

Stormjäger Probably best to also replace the Sherman 76 and give the mech company doctrine a useful ability in its stead, maybe an air ability. I like the Sherman 76 though. It's a really nice middle ground between a Sherman and a Jackson. In: COH2 Balance

I personally have never much liked the Sherman Bulldozer attachment, which has only ever served to be visually confusing and to overshadow the much more interesting Sherman 105. Urban Defence in particular would have had strong synergy with the 105 as it can field strong doctrinal AT units (Elite Bazooka Rangers) to support it. In: COH2 Balance

No problem I just post it again There is a unit in the same spot as Brummbar, but with worse overall performance. Its out of question to think about buffs for Brummbar without thinking about buffing the Sherman 105mm Dozer. So take it into account. They buffed the Shermdozer a while back and it's a solid unit now. Its problem is competition. If you replaced the dumb 'stick a bulldozer on a normal sherman' upgrades with the Sherman 105 you'd see it a fair bit more. Especially in Urban Defence, which can field the Bazooka Rangers to support it. In: COH2 Balance

Personally I'd hugely ramp up the projectile speed so you don't have to lead its shots with Attack Ground. A late game anti-infantry tank that's particularly geared towards teamgames shouldn't require constant manual targeting. It worked well for the KV-2. In: COH2 Balance

The main gun that the croc has is hardly effective. And if you're saying the Brum is out of line, you're suggesting the Brum is in need of buffs and the KV8 is fine? The main gun on the Croc used to be a meme gun. It's literally a standard Churchill gun now. I'm saying if the Brummbar is substantially weaker than the KV-8, buff the Brummbar. In: COH2 Balance

I don't know the full story, but in short, as far as I know, those tools haven't been updated in years, it would still take a huge effort to make them compatible with the current version of the game, and the devs that worked on the tools and/or the game aren't around anymore to explain what's what. It's not that they don't want to, it's simply that they can't, with the current resources available. I was under the impression it was a toggle. If that's not the case, it'd explain a lot.
