If you remove Mobile Defence from the equation I'd say the Soviet is a hair better than Ostheer. USF and OKW tail closely behind them and UKF cries in the corner. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: So why exactly can't UKF/USF base buildings be destroyed ?5 Jun 2018, 17:25 PM If you're in a position to start destroying base structures that means the enemy isn't in a position to contest your armor. It doesn't matter that they can rebuild their structures on the cheap: they won't get the chance. If you're going into the enemy base and hanging around long enough to kill structures and the enemy is in a position to contest you then congratulations on throwing away your tanks. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Bren Downgrade5 Jun 2018, 16:57 PM I've heard frequent reports that the new 45 munition Bren Guns are actually a DPS downgrade to the Infantry Section in certain circumstances. Please could someone who knows the numbers (like Cruzz) confirm or deny this? I'd really rather not spend 45 munitions on making my squads worse. Is it a very situational thing (LMG42s are technically downgrade to Grens if you never keep them still for example) or are Brens just a flat out bad idea now? In: COH2 Gameplay

How is that possible if he doesn't tech up? He's saying the Mobile Defence player can spend the resources they would have spent on tech on a second Puma. Most factions used to have a doctrine like this that could fall back onto call-ins if it got behind but almost all of them have been killed off now. Take just about any doctrine with a T0 "add a vehicle to this building" ability and chances are it used to be a call-in. Mobile Defence wasn't the most powerful call-in strategy back when the call-in meta was everywhere but that resource boost has a lot more impact now the opponent can't just do the same thing. Thread: SU 120 mm Mortar bug 3 Jun 2018, 10:30 AM I asked Mr. Smith why they reduced the 120mm to 5 crew instead of just making it decrew like other mortars. He said they would have done that but they can't: there's no way to change the number of models a weapon decrews at in the patching tools. Whether the 0-model decrew is a bug or "working as intended" doesn't make a difference to that. In: COH2 Bugs
