Also there are enough video of gameplay showing Puma is actually a counter for the Stuart and not the opposite, shell shock or not. Now, the same way a 222 can catch off guard a M15 and kill it, a Stuart can do the same with a Puma which is good for the balance. A 222 beating an AAHT is unlikely unless the AAHT player screws up hard. Stuart vs Puma is a much more even fight. If the Stuart advances then the Puma reverses, popping smoke when Shell Shock is used. If the Puma advances then the Stuart advances back. At close range the smoke won't save the Puma because the Stuart can drive through it before Shell Shock wears off. The Puma wins the chase. The Stuart wins the joust. The defender chooses which it is. It's a much more interesting matchup than the RNGfest of AEC versus Puma. In: Strategy Desk

It seems pretty much outclassed by the AAHT as a shock unit and costs a fortune in manpower for what's essentially USF's scout car. M20 Utility Car Rework Cost from 340 MP 20 FU to somewhere between 200 MP 15 FU and 250 MP 20 FU. Crew bazooka removed M20 smoke tied to the Armor Skirts upgrade. Without the bazooka the M20 definitely doesn't need the high cost: light vehicles counter it unless they're baited over its mine. Tying smoke to the skirts serves as a spam deterrent: it doesn't bite much if you build one but if you build two or three you won't be able to afford to upgrade them all and throw down mines/give a squad a bazooka. Thread: BRITISH COMMANDER REVAMP DISCUSSION20 Aug 2018, 15:08 PM Changing the valentine is fiddly, it's never going to be as good as the cromwell, or if you buff it, it becomes literally a cheaper cromwell. Buff it but make it slow like the Churchill I'd say. It's an infantry tank so that's probably more historically accurate and a 'light' vehicle that's durable rather than fast isn't something the game has right now. In: Lobby

You are really grasping at straws if you think the Stuart is any good vs a Puma or anything beyond a Luchs. The Stuart beats the Puma outright if it uses Shell Shock. The AAHT beats the 222 outright. Thread: USF needs more AT options.19 Aug 2018, 13:53 PM USF struggles with many things, but AT is not one of them. Pack Howitzer, Mortar, Ambulance, M8 Scott. These are the only four units in the USF nondoctrinal lineup that can't fill an AT role. Every USF infantry squad can be turned into an AT squad. REs are a very efficient option. If you use Riflemen you get an AT squad with snares. The .50 cal has Vet 0 AP ammo. The Utility Car drops teller mines and its crew has a bazooka. The AAHT's gun is armor-piercing and it beats 222s in a 1v1. The Captain can upgrade to a bazooka without the unlock. The M1 AT gun is an AT gun. The Stuart beats the Puma if it uses Shell Shock. The Sherman is a medium tank. The Jackson is one of the best tank destroyers in the game. In: Strategy Desk
Thread: Mechanized Assault broken ? 18 Aug 2018, 19:22 PM It doesn't work at higher levels. All your opponent has to do is go for a team weapon build with light vehicle support and you're screwed. Assgren spam can't fight infantry in green cover backed up by MGs. Your only vehicular AT until the Tiger is a 250 with Panzerschrecks in it and you have no snares so light vehicles are going to bully you. Unless you've already won by that point they know the Tiger is coming and they've got plenty of time to bring out the tools to fight it. In: COH2 Balance
