I'm more thinking what we could actually get. A nondoctrinal indirect-fire weapon team for UKF has been pretty much ruled out, but reworking the Pyrotechnic Section is something that might be able to happen. In: Lobby

UKF does have one 'mobile' indirect fire tool: the Base Howitzers. Maybe a cheap, rapid light barrage added to Section Flares would go a long way to helping out? Or a free smoke barrage for displacing MGs? All sharing the global cooldown, of course. In: Lobby

Soviet hasn't required doctrines to function since WBP buffed Conscripts, buffed Penals and gave Soviet T1 AT weapons. USF and UKF aren't in the best state, but OKW is in line with SOV and OST. Thread: What if the Allied factions actually had good MGs?3 Sep 2018, 09:40 AM And dont bring up MG34, that thing is last minute decision from lelic that made OKW into a faction with no weakness or drawbacks at all OKW and USF weren't ever designed to lack small-arms suppression. USF's Captain Tier suppression used to be the Pack Howitzer, OKW's used to be the LeiG and the old Kubel. After OKW was reworked it was tested with the Flak HT as its only suppression tool and it was a disaster. Hence the MG34 became nondoctrinal. In: COH2 Balance

Commandos were previously 4 men, and given that storms have MUCH better vet than commandos, vet 3 storms essentially catch up to current vet 3 commandos in durability. Only Infiltration Commandos were 4 men. Commando Doc and Vanguard Doc Commandos have always been five. In: COH2 Balance

USF got a full tech tree, plus could amass a cheap and effective AT unit similar to the STUG III, that almost sounds like they'd be on par with OST Heer! Can't have that! Ostheer's irrelevant. Call-in Armor Company was choking out all the other USF commanders so they changed it. Same with OKW: Scavenge was the go to when it could just call in Ostwinds. Mobile Defence bizarrely escaped the axe, but it wasn't a problem back then and they're dealing with it in the upcoming patch. In: COH2 Balance

The problem was what exactly? Oh right we have to placate OST heer with everything we do because that's the only faction that's supposed to matter. Silly me I keep forgetting. Not teching to Major was incredibly efficient. You could go both Lieutenant and Captain, getting the full suite of tools and both combat officers. You'd also save a ton of fuel in the process, allowing you to rapidly amass critical mass of M10 tank destroyers. It was so good it choked out the other USF strategies, so the M10, the Flame Hetzer, the Ostwind and the KV-8 got tied to tech in DBP. Lend Lease's M4C Sherman got tied to tech the patch before that.
