Thread: What is the REAL problem with Ost T4?7 Mar 2020, 21:42 PM Problem, Panther in hull-down is still good. 60 range would be too much, or the effect needs changes. I am more for reduce pop to 15, because of it bad AI and changig other stuff. StuG cound need some upgrades to 60 rage. Brummbär is king of confusing etc. In: COH2 Balance

So it has a handy-cap situation. The community-team only has to fix the bug, when the squad dies the tank will be bugged in the hull-down animation. Also the pics have to be fixed, now we have the logo on KV for the ability. ^^ In: COH2 Gameplay

Changing german silt_bunker traget_size to 2 (from 26), add a requirement for the MG-upgrade increasing sice by received_accuracy_modifier by *13 (=26) back to original. 2. Change pass_through to same as trench. (I also changed that MG-upgrade blocks garrison) .......... Now german silt_bunker is a worse version of silt_trench. (less HP) but is more immune versus AT-guns and Tanks (hit ~1 time by 2-3 shots). After upgrade it will be hit by every shot. So it become a more useful defensive position if not upgrades. (with upgrade same as kurrent version) I changed price to 50MP -> MG upgrade 100MP and 60mun (medic and HQ to 100MP, 5fuel, 30mun) In: COH2 Gameplay

I don't mind starting first with "bad" stats, if it means people can actually use them to begin with. There's also the thing that i don't remember what type of cover the bunker/trenches provide. I do know (unless it was fixed) that some provided heavy cover instead of garrison which meant they did fine against grenades. Mainly the hit-box, so AT-guns and tanks don't hit it that easy, but explosives do. It is good, that HMG-bunker etc. are more easy to counter, because it opens balancing questions. Edit: at the moment I am working on a test version. I will send a video in some time to present the idea. I also want some more visual indicators for the upgrade. In: COH2 Gameplay

If part of the cost of the bunker was moved to the upgrades, you could probably use it as cover. That is what I am talking about. Bunker has very bad stats. Why not give it same stats as silt-trench. Upgraded they get nerfed to actual level. Soi they don't get op. Edit: the upgrades version (I mean with HMG) could lock garrison. In: COH2 Gameplay

Edit: What you are looking for is, that normal silk-bunker should have trench's stats when not upgraded. - so small squads could enter them and hold ground better. (actual they get destroyed really fast) - upgraded they get old strats and get easy hit by tanks etc. In: COH2 Gameplay

Brummbär is UP as what it should be. a. make it better, maybe a call-in like King-Tiger and locked to 1 on the field and buff it to KV2 level. b. change it with StuG E as Commander-Unit and buff StuG E, so Ostheer has a arty-tool with some surviveability. 2. Panther has a. too less range or (better give StuG G a long-range modus) b. needs too much pop. 3. Panzerwerfer are good, but a. arrive too late b. are no answer to many situations when you need pop to dive in with tanks (you can't because of pop) to counter e.g. other arty. Your Panzerwerfers can't support you in such situations, with some more Pen (like Katjusha) or some light stun effect (like StuG E) they would be more useful versus tanks. What I think would make Ost more fluent and make T4 better: All over: 1. Remove critical hit of StuG G, give it a lock-down ability to increase range but can only slowly rotate (like CoH1 Mader) 2a. Make StuG E non-doc, move it into T2 with /tech2 requ. or move it into T3. Buff it (faster shell should be enough) and fix it damage proifile, way too much damage versus buildings. 2b. Make Brummbär a community-unit instead of StuG E. Buff it. c. Give Panzerwerfer a light stun-effect on vehicles too. (locking turret or such small things) d. Panther 2 less pop. etc. my firth opinions... In: COH2 Balance

Luchs need to be way more close to be effective while T70 can operate on safe distance versus AI, even AT-inf. While Zis3 can support your AI Püppchen and PaK40 can't. T70 is an op troll vehicle, like clown-car. With all that other cost-effective stuff T70 overperforms, depending in map and RNG (hitting or not hitting...) I don't say that because I can't deal with them, I say it because I know the stats and I am modding. And there are many things never should be made like they are ingame, for all fractions. T70 is one it. But yes, all medium-lights arrive too early, while real lights became obsolet without real late-game useability. In: COH2 Balance
