Thread: Observer Mode - Coming Soon™18 Feb 2014, 18:34 PM Observer mode is not only good for e-sports and broadcasting, it is also good for simply playing with your friends in a social or mentoring environment. If you have 3 players, for example, you can play "winner stays", while two players fight in a 1v1 and the third watches. The third player then plays against the winner and the loser watches, etc. Add players and you can do it w/ teamgames. The social aspect of such a feature can have a huge positive effect on a game that already is lacking in social features (chat lobbies). For live e-sports events, both on-line and off-line, Observer mode in an absolute necessity. I hope that Relic is sincere in their intentions to work on it, and hope that it becomes a top priority. They're doing it then because it will take a long time to move to the new Battle Servers, and they wanted to do it during the period of lowest normal activity. I guess the server staff at Relic will have a late night tonight. Good luck guys, hope everything goes smoothly! Go figure. A tribute? SNF is not about making tributes to past shows or past casters. That's just not something that we do. SNF is about the best players competing, on a show that is as close to live as possible. We are happy to promote other competitions that are occurring during the span of our show, which we did throughout SNF4 and SNF5. When I heard there would be a full fledged COH expansion in the likes of COH2, one of my first thoughts was, "At last! We will have modern tools (OBS mode) so that we can finally do SNF truly live." Instead of enjoying OBS mode, we found ourselves fighting tooth and nail just to get fixed positions. But if you must know, I personally never watched Harlequin because I was never interested in COHO. I uninstalled the game when I saw that big shopping cart icon in the middle of the lobby menu.
