Thread: A radical idea to rebalance T-34/7619 Apr 2016, 16:06 PM Some good ideas here. If the t34/76 remains at the current price that's fine but it could still use some small buffs. Mainly moving accuracy seems to be a problem (whats the point in flanking if your tank will miss so often). I may be wrong but I believe the t34/76s moving accuracy is 50%, much worse than other mediums like the Sherman and Cromwell who are at 75%. So the t34 could use an accuracy buff. Another solution is to reduce the cost of t4 slightly so that it arrives faster, or put it back into t3 expect with a requirement to unlock it. Such as a 6 or 7 cp requirement or at least 2 or 3 vehicles that must be built from the same tier before unlocking. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: How to counter Ost snipair abuse in 2v2?12 Apr 2016, 12:47 PM It might sound stupid but smoke and flank is a legit tactic to negate snipers in 2v2. If he wants to try pick your riflemen at range always use smoke first before closing in to negate mgs and to block sight of the sniper. That way you can force him back while your rifles charge forward. It might not necessarily help you kill the sniper but it will negate it while you cap territory, or set up flanks, and can also cover for vehicles dives if you are desperate. You want to have a heavy focus on vehicle play as usf to lessen mp bleed obviously, going luit+cap and m20 first(stuart is not useless vs 222 btw). In: Strategy Desk
Thread: Which doctrines to choose11 Apr 2016, 09:03 AM As a general rule you shouldn't rely too much on your doctrine, instead use it to complement your main army. That's why it is often better to wait and see what your opponent does both strategy wise and doctrine wise and pick a doctrine that will best suit you to deal with them. On the other hand picking a doctrine early can be quite beneficial if you need something fast such as call in infantry to help you engage better. For example popping out jaegers to help you flank a position etc. In: OKW Strategies

Cons are useful mainly because of their utility, they have 6 men which makes them quite survivable (to squads wipes anyway), and are cheap to reinforce. This means that they are still quite good despite not being able to compete overly well against upgraded axis infantry, and even then they aren't necessary supposed to either unless you are going con heavy with ppshs. There were countless ESL games here players stuck with 3 cons for most of the game with only 2 maxims and other support units. Many of these games also without using elite inf (guards/shocks)and manpower bleed was often an issue for the wher player and not the soviet one. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: New 2v2 Maps Hamlet and Chateau du Luv-Nest19 Mar 2016, 05:50 AM Chateau is alright but hamlet is a shocker. The map resources on hamlet are so far apart on the opposite sides of the map that it prevents most forms of harassment play. Meaning that each side can easily hold at least munitions point and fuel points on their side of the map. It also divides players up too much as they must split completely to secure their resources, often causing one player to get double teamed etc. The middle VP also promotes campy gameplay imo as it is hard to manoeuvre vehicles and there's loads of heavy cover. Thread: 1v1 / 2v2 - Anyone using Churchills?15 Mar 2016, 16:19 PM Churchill are pretty good if you got a firefly or AT guns to back them up. My biggest gripe with the Churchill is that it costs too much especially when you compare to a comet which is a much better all round tank. After it got its significant nerf a while back the cost should have been reduced slightly maybe to 160 fuel? As is, comet is often the better choice, and if you want a stronger Churchill then you can often get a croc. In: COH2 Balance
