Thread: Bayeux and Novgorod Outskirts ruin 1v118 Dec 2019, 14:24 PM If i were to remove any maps, it would be arnhem, angoville, and lost gilder. It is far to early for bayeux or novogrod to be removed as they havent even been given time for them to be improved on. I am not a fan of Bayeux, and I can explain later on why, as it might be helpful for spanky. Novogrod, seems pretty standard, but in truth i haven't played it yet, so i will withhold talking about it as I dont really have any experience on it. In: COH2 Balance

Which as far as I’ve been told/seen is why maps like ladoga are at the bottom. Remember when noggano had to drop from SMC cause there were so many snow/rain maps and he played on a toaster? Thread: Can we get rid of Bayeux?4 Dec 2019, 09:10 AM Remember when I pointed all this out and more during the KotH? Remember when Talisman pointed this all out in KotH? It is MASSIVE for a 1v1. Imagine if this still had all the red cover it had originally. The size of it is like a slightly smaller vaux farmlands. However some slight edits, would get it ok-ish for 1v1, but they would be redoing garrisons and pulling in the OOB to make the map smaller. In: COH2 Balance

It bugs a huge variety of things due to how atmosphere settings, terrain settings, and FX markers work. Remember the Pripyat River bug where the whole forest would go up in flames after a set amount of time? Partly in part due to atmosphere transitions. It also annihilates older PC frame rates. This would be okay if we could make our won custom atmosphere settings and save them, but you cannot, I believe it still crashes the builder or does nothing, been awhile since I've made the mistake of trying to use it. Now with that being said, you could adjust a preset atmosphere setting and adjust just the light colors and angel for a custom one and then transition to the one that you used... which would keep a large amount of the bugs at bay, but some would still persist and it would still annihilate framerates. It's too small to see it but it causes the entire game to crash when arty hits it. Considering I have railroads in my map I guess the object sneaked in and I just didn't notice it. So be very careful about this little bugger because it will ruin the whole map. This is not the only object that does this FYI. In: Mapping Discussion

I have just used the ones with map object in them now and also the frozen ones I mentioned earlier. I wouldnt use the frozen ones either, I remember something being wrong with them. You can add snow to all the map object ones with the terrain tool. I can't remember the reason I don't use them at all, but there WAS a reason... just not sure what it was anymore rofl. Which I think also makes them indestructible. But tbh, I haven't dond it in a long time. So I would have to check and I am currently sick and on mobile. So gimme a day or so. In: Mapping Discussion
