You mean like the mg causing suppressive fire thru an ability? That sounds fairly useful and would help with blobs if captain build is chosen. Or maybe a toggle with explosive rounds that do little damage but high suppression.

yes, there are some Coh2 game mod made MGs on tank ping down (yellow ping) on inf. Or manual HE shell ability ( pay xx ammu for 1 shot HE). Worked very well indeed.
Especially one of USF armor feature is changing Shell type, Ez8 should have it too.
- WP/HE shell skill shot ability.
- Timmed HVAP for more pen trade off with ROF ( balance with ammnu cost, pen value). Radio net also a factor to count into.
- Timmed APCBC shell for more DMG, around 200-240 dmg per shot( balance with ammu cost, pen close - medium - long range value, I suggest it take every high pen at low range, subtable at medium and bad at long so Ez8 shouldn't become new M36 while stationdary, it had to closing in to take on supperior moving acc ). So Ez8s could commit a big fight against Axis heavy tank.
New commander upgrade should unlock those type of shell instead of weird vet 1 ability turned your Ez8 into slow, overprice less tanky KV1 with upgraded M10 gun (not to mention this gun killing inf by sniping model =)) ).
- For .50 cal upgrade:
- Timmed or passive ping down inf ( give them yellow Ping is enough). Buff radio net so 2-3 ez8 must be better than 2-3 M4 76mm. for now 140 fuels unit is worse than 125 fuels unit on every espects.

Vet 1 smoke barrage from ML-20 just provide nothing for Soviet players. Pay Ammu for Smoke sceen that cover the same space per shell as 120mm Motar ?
Just why ? Did balance team actually use it in their test game against AI or players ?
How about change it to WP and 3-5 rounds per barrage or just scap it ?

I play both Axis and Allies. The point that the Axis players could've made is that a viable on-map howitzer will force them into the same stale meta that Allied players have had to endure for years. It wasn't too bad if you played Soviets before they took the bombing run out of Mechanized, but it got bad even as Soviet after that. I'm not looking forward to autopicking Storm for the next 300 games because I see 7 B4 commanders in the 4 opponents loadouts every game.

I've made the suggestion a couple of times that howitzers should be given the same treatment as heavies, meaning a limit on them and possibly even a cooldown on building them. I hope that the balance team thinks about something like that instead of just nerfing the B4 and pretending everything is fine. As a point of reference, the balance team specifically made the Priest so that it could not be decrewed when Priest spam was a thing. They should've done that to all howitzers.

- the thing is on arty war, Lefh alway got upper hand against every Alies Arty ( better scatter, shot per salvo, vet). Just use your mirco, sound and mini map to find their Arty.
- The reason everyone go for New B4 because how lovely it is in both old - current version. You cant stop people try and play with their RNG. Let it pass for 1 or 2 weeks to give a full picture of New B4.

with this pixel of HP, yes they should.

sure, USF has only 1 60 range TD to fight against :
- 50 range TD Stug 3 with the highest DPS for it costs, vet 1 stun shot,
- medium tank Pz4 valiants that can drive and win it with PROPER mirco.
- Fast, armed to the teeth, highest HP pool of non doc medium tank Panther that can 100% eat M36 like breakfast and zip away.
- Strong all round Heavy tank Tiger could punch through the line.
- " I win " King Tiger somehow can bounce HVAP because RNG ?.
- 60 range TD which is underrated because Panther can do it job with less mirco tax. Hey, Panther + MG pintle kills inf too.
Now USF player had to combine with proper "heavy tank" price tag and still lose against them.
M36 + M26 still lost to those things for the same amount of fuel, ammo, manpower and yet mirco tax.
