Thread: Nerf the panzerwerfer already13 Feb 2016, 20:17 PM Imo it should be the Katy with the supression not the werfer since the werfer pretty much wipes everything in and around where it hits (leaving everything in the target area either dead or retreating) whereas the Katy is supposed to area denial across multiple volleys.... That will all miss and you can walk right through... With supression the additional volleys might actually count for something. On the werfer its not necessary. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Target Tables, High Explosives and Advanced Emplacments11 Feb 2016, 06:08 AM Hi all so a ways back relic said they added target tables and how great that would be for balancing things now i don't ACTUALLY recall ANYTHING becoming of that (except the ptrs thing) SO with the new fancy brit commander i think its time to remind relic of this fancy they added (and also inquire as to if it works as well as i think it does) as i'm sure you have all seen one of the new brit commanders adds "advanced emplacements" that makes them tougher collective groan my thought to this... is target tables! by that i mean, why not have certain units be harder counters? things like the brummbar and its mighty 15CM HE shell! i mean whats a few sand bags infront of a mortar to that eh? this could be applied to many weapons imo things like the 120mm- its really pathetic at hurting garrisoned units and the like, why not buff it specifically vs garrisons, bunkers and maybe vehicle pens? more flavour without extra wipes! Brumm- as ive said vs emplacements and more pow vs garrisons as well ML20- a bit more punch when hitting vehicles would be a great lil boost on this beast imo bundled nades- for their price and "elite unit exclusivity" these should be way better in general but even just being AS scary as a volks nade to garrisons would be a nice option BASICALLY if it makes a big boom.... give it a big boom! nobody likes the super wipes of old, but making these units more than just RNG wipers and instead effective counters to certain scenarios could go a long way i mean as it is a panzer werfer is better in every way than a brumm and that feels really wrong.... Thread: Panther...10 Feb 2016, 00:19 AM I think the panther is almost perfect for its cost, tho I agree that its ability to dive (bouncing shots) kill what it wants then gtfo like nothing happened often even after getting nailed by an at nade is... Problematic mostly for the USF as mines are locked behind a meh tier or a doctrine and the snare is the worst AND held behind vet... Maybe since there are target tables now- and I know this is a bit radical- make it so infantry snare nades do heavy engine damage vs the panther? Because in my experience even with regular engine damage the panther is MORE than fast enough to gtfo after a dive. In: COH2 Balance

To heavier tanks that it is supposed to be afraid of it has to run and cower. While I agree the Stuart offers exceptional utility, in larger games where 2-3 panthers may push at the same location a single stuart will only be capable of annoying the Panthers. The mciro requirement is also quite high compared to the German player that can follow up with a volks blob. I want a TD that can damage the Panthers consistently. However, I do concede the point that the USF does have some snares to help the Jackson. Snares are however, only part of the larger problem with the unit. You cant argue that in a team game the enemy pushing together vs your TD with only a Stuart to back it is so much an issue on the Jackson than poor play on your teams part. A Jackson behind an armful of t34s or a soviet mine field (or even a pair or REAL at guns is nasty, throw in a con army of at nades and you have a few dead panthers. HOWEVER the lack of durability on allied TDs is amplified by the SHIT pathing in this game and I agree that heavy crush would be a great buff that isnt really a performance change, more "relic proofing" the unit... You would have cons who vet up defensively and penals as a offensive option if you dont pick a commander that gives shocks or PPSH cons. Their low recc acc means they can be focus fired and would require flanks and such to be used well (vs shocks for example) so there is counter play but it would give the soviet a solid non doc attack squad that isnt maxims In: COH2 Balance
