The 50cal kills the UNarmoured bucket car TWICE as fast as any other mg! (except of course the Wehr, who truely lack AT.. I mean rifles get their snare just by fighting!! Wehr have to go out of their way and progress naturally through the game to get thier vastly superior snare) |
Well, it can finish scout cars when they are on sliver of health.
Never tried using it on anything bigger then M3 though.
I dont suppose you know the pen/damage stats for it eh? Or at least where to point me to find them? Im curious now... |
Remember when Flamethrower riflemen was so powerful, relic had to move the upgrade to rear echelon?.
Penal is basically the same unit except their rifles are weaker.
the only thing the penal needs is a buff to their rifleman and a vehicle snare on their satchel.
smoke and the ability to upgrade to a zook/bar also contributed to the rifle thing.. |

Proposal for fair snaipah play:
1. Reduce Soviet sniper squad size to one
2. Increase model HP to 82
3. Gib better cloak to Soviet sniper (same cloak Britz and Germans use)
4. Gib all snipers higher target size. Like 1.15 - 1.25
Soviet sniper would then also need a rof and accuracy buff and a better vet ability or be much cheaper than the others
Because right now its balanced to small squads specialized in long range combat. German sniper can wipe a 6man squad faster than the soviet one and has little fear of accurate long range return fire (except from Brits who cant effectively chance due to debuffs out of cover). Soviet sniper changes require a rebuild from the ground up, not just normalization because its so effected by out side factors. As it is a weakened/squishier sniper would make t1 even deader and make leave the soviet in the wake of superior Wehr forces with no hope of bleeding them |
Dunno, the ISU seems to have some serious "use for everything, good for nothing", still, i wont see why it shouldnt go with IS2, its "shield and spear" combination isnt by far so good as KT/JT one. But you know, there is no doctrine with it. About the second, The sturmtiger doctrine has 2 upgrades for the KT(with more tanks), would be strange that you cant get a KT without sacrifice part of the doctrine
Sort of like not allowing an is-2 if you build t34-85s in that soviet commander. It wouldnt make sense for one part of the commander be useless if you use another. |
well i think a lot LOT of people are forgetting ops point..obers are 10 POPcap anti infy only unit which u bring to counter infantry and thwn the standard infy' are beating them its not fair....my suggestion is just revert the 3rd dmg nerf they got.....lmg and stg dmg from 6 to 8...also falls need buff too...jeagers and fussies are dominating okw.....falls and obers are left behind in dirt...it hurts a little as they are supposed to best of best..not worthy of their name
Obers will (rightfully) beat any squad on equal footing, if vet 0 obers can beat vet 3 rifles with double bar/lmg whats the point of even trying as USF when literally the very best ai you can throw at the enemy is slapped aside by a squad that hasnt fired a round yet? I wouldnt be against a slight buff for obers but anything too drastic and soviet stand no chance with their "upgrades and scaling are for capitalist dogs" thing they have going on. ALSO falls dont nees a buff imo, I use them almost exclusively and they melt face. The only thing I might suggest/hope for is the ability to produce them in t4 at a reduced cost (nix the infiltration fee) |
Of course its a bad idea, terrible one even, because it doesn't fix anything about penals and if con "upgrade" can't compete with 45 mun upgrade while costing 60, then its not an upgrade, plus it is irrelevant from the get go, because of doctrinal upgrades if it can't compete even with them.
So bad situation for one unit would be exchanges with horrible situation for two.
He said a global for the svts on cons like the bar in vCoH, which means for a small fee you have slightly better cons (semi penals that have utility) as for penals they become dirt cheap screens that get out at anypoint in the game and not worry about cost (dirt cheap penals+ rapid conscription?) it would be an interesting change that I would be really excited to try. And as for the demo thing, if they got buffed to be able to blast bridges again, or even a price reduction a small unlock fee would be aight. |
What if:
- Penals lose their SVT-40s, they also become a lot cheaper (like 15 MP to reinforce). They can still throw satchels
- Add a global upgrade in the T1 building that unlocks SVT-40s for Conscripts. Each squad gets 2 SVT-40s that increase the squad's firepower, but not as much as other weapon upgrades such as G43s, LMGs, etc. Similar in cost to the coh1 BAR upgrade.
- Add another upgrade called 'demolitions' that allow penals to upgrade with flamers and engineers to place demo charges, because let's face it, demos are OP (and also mines, but that's another topic).

You should be able to build additional t5 building, a gulag for your penals that produces resources. That way they can be usefull late game
Obviously you dont play they gem because the soviet are not allowed anything non doc that is useful past mid game |
